Weekend

We had a great weekend here in town with not a lot planned. Toby and Cash headed out to the farm on Saturday, to move cows from one pasture to another. They also went out to build a hog trap. Toby has been wanting to catch hogs for as long as I can remember out there. Palin and I spent the day at the house, cleaning and getting her room organized. I took her to lunch and to get fingernail polish. We have been working on potty training and I told her that morning that if she went in the potty she could go get some and some flip flops to show off her painted toes.
Here is her room. On the other side that you can not see is her kitchen and her other baby bed and closet. But at least its clean now.
She was so excited to get to paint her toes and get flip flops. I love that she is getting so girly and fun. We had a great day together just me and her. She was in a super good mood and we played all day. That night once the boys returned we all got ready and went to the Roller Derby. It was an experience. We all had a really good time and ran into Toby's friend Erin and her girls when we were there.

Sunday morning we headed to church and Palin spent the hour while we were getting ready saying, I want to go to church, over and over again. This is huge progress from the first couple of days when she would run out of the sunday school class screaming. After Sunday school and Church we went to lunch with Whit and Mandy and thier girls. We went home and changed clothes and Toby wanted to go and check his hog trap that they had built to see if anything was there. As we pulled up on it, to our surprise there were two big pigs and about 18 piglets in his trap. Needless to say this lead to me shooting my first hog! Small time life on a Sunday afternoon! LOL! Toby had to clean it and then we dropped it off at the butcher. Guess we are going to have lots of sausage and bacon!
These pictures of Cash and Palin were taken while we were at the farm on Sunday afternoon. It was a pretty day and the weather was great! Sidenote: We close on our lot next door to our house today! Yea! So glad once again that everything sold quick!
