New Orleans

I had to go to New Orleans for the weekend for work and put on a training session, Todd our friend and one that I work with also was helping to hold the training. It was on Saturday so we decided that we would make a mini vacation of it since our good friend Marcus lives there and none of us had ever been to New Orleans. We left Houston late Friday morning and made the 6 hour drive to New Orleans. Once we arrived we checked into our hotel and waited for Marcus to arrive to go to dinner.
We went to a local resturant called Drago's. It was a seafood resturant and everyone thought that it was really good. I had steak fingers, so not really sure how great the seafood was! Ha! The desserts were huge. We ordered the brownie and icecream and it took up an entire plate!
Here were all were on Friday night. After dinner we went to a little bar called New Orleans Daiquiris. It was a fun place that we all just hung out for the evening. The next morning Todd and I got up early and were off for a day of training. Toby slept in and then spent the rest of the afternoon with Marcus. It was great that they got to spend some time together.
That evening Marcus, Toby and I went back to New Orleans Daiquiris bar, and are an appetizer and then headed to meet Todd and Dana for dinner and a night on Bourbon street. For some reason I thought that it would be like Vegas.. . I was a little wrong! It was nuts! Nothing that I pictured!
It was a really skinny street and there were people all over!! There was bar after bar after bar! We spent most of the evening just walking around and people watching. Toby even got to make some friends.
We were walking down the street and there was a bachelorette party and she had to find someone to propose to her. So who better than Toby?? It was pretty funny! He felt pretty special! Look at the smile on his face! Sunday morning it was up and to breakfast at Brennans and then home! It was a fun work weekend!!
** By the way, the hair on Friday was a wig, I am pondering cutting and coloring, but wanted to see if I liked it before I did it one day!! So it was a great way to test it!

New Kids on the Block!

I still need to post my actual birthday pictures from last Thursday. But this is what I have from our girls night to the New Kids on the Block concert! Me, Julie, Dana and Suzy all went and had the time of our lives!

We started the night off by going to cheesecake factory and eating dinner, and then a rainstorm blew in so we went to do some shopping to kill some time. We arrived at the concert just in time for New Kids.
We were able to park right across the street from the concert. We had great parking. We arrived at the concert just in time to see them, as the opening act had already played. We had great seats on the lawn and made ourselves comfortable for the concert.
They started playing right around 9pm, and played till a little after 11pm. It was awesome. We scream and danced and yelled and acted like kids again!
Notice the 80's ponytail I was wearing for the picture below. It made it more dramatic! Ha!
The people that sat behind us had the new kids sheet from back in the day and used it as a back drop for us. We had a great night having a girls night out, and have to make plans to do it again soon! We had a lot of laughs and made a lot of memories!!! :) Thanks for going with me girls!

4th Of July

On the 4th of July we got up early and headed to the 4th of July parade in Kingwood. This was Cash's first parade and he had a blast. We got there early and got a great shaded spot.
Cash loved watching what was coming down the road. He really liked getting to see all the fire trucks in the parade. This was the LONGEST parade ever! It was two hours long!

Cash would wave his American Flag when the floats would go by waving at him.

The Kingwood Tea Party Organization had a float in it and this guy was walking behind it carrying this sign! I loved it! There were some other funny ones, but this is the only one that I caught on camera! Only in Kingwood would this work without people saying something about it!

That afternoon after Toby got off work, the Schultz's came over to my parents and we all swam and cooked out! it was a lot of fun and we all had a blast!

Watching Cash and Cole together is so much fun! Cash loves getting to have a buddy to play with. I think that he gets bored with me!

Trip To Dublin

I am a little behind in the blogging, so I will try and catch up. The last weekend in June, we went to Toby's parents house for the weekend. Anyone who is in Texas knows how hot it has been. Cash wanted to be outside while we were there, but it was so hot. Toby's mom, had a big tub that we filled with water and let him put his suit on and go swimming. He thought that it was the best. You can see his facial expressions as he was sitting in the water since it was cold.
He loved playing and splashing in it. It was just his size. We gave him some bath toys to play with while he was in it and he was set!
Toby's dad made ayummy cake while we were there. Cash normally does not eat sweets unless its a cookie. But he ate two pieces of the cake!
I know why he had to eat two pieces as most of it ended up on his face!
We had a blast up there and enjoyed getting away for the weekend.
