Fall Festival

Friday night was Cash's school Fall Festival. They had all kinds of games for the kids, and things for them to bounce in. One of the games was a throwing game and if you won the game you got a fish! Well my basebal star son won, and we were the proud owner of ONE fish. However that did not last long, as Palin wanted a fish. Cash went and played again and won Palin a fish too! Now we are the proud owners of TWO goldfish.

A big thanks to Papa and Grandma who came into town on Friday night and took the kids to Walmart to buy them a fish bowl, food, net and decorations for the bowl for their fish to go in while Toby and I enjoyed a night out without kids in Granbury!  Palin and Cash both got to ride horse at the Festival. It was Palin's first time being on a horse and she started screaming, but once daddy came over and held her hand she enjoyed getting to ride on it. It was fun and we only stayed about an hour but had a good time and I even won Cash's class basket in the Silent Auction.

First Spelling Test!

Cash has his first spelling test last Friday and he brought it home last night. He made a 100! We practiced every night last week having him write them down three times a piece so that he would learn them, and it payed off.

No worries, Palin keeps herself enterained when Cash is doing homework, she is either at the table doing her homework as she calls it or this night she was having a picnic on the floor she told me. She went and got a towel and her food from her kitchen on her own to have her picnic.

The Beginning of Fall

It was an awesome weekend and the weather was great! We woke up Saturday morning and Toby made breakfast for all of us and then we headed to the storage units to get our fall decorations. We brought them home and the kids enjoyed playing outside in the cool weather while I decorated.
We went ran a few errands in hopes of finding a few new Halloween decorations, we got a few things, but the shopping is limited on festive shops to find things. The kids did find new winter hats that they thought that they needed. Cash went with Batman and Palin chose a monkey!
It was a great day for blowing bubbles. The outside of our house is ready for Halloween and Fall.

Sunday we had church and went to church to our bible study class and there were 11 kids there! The kids jumped on the trampoline and played in the sandbox. We went home afterwards and thought that we might get the kids to take a nap..... it didnt work. Since it was so pretty we got some corn and headed out to the farm to put corn in the deer feeders and spread some out for the animals. Palin enjoyed getting to throw the corn around.
We drove to the other side of the pastures to see if we could see any tracks, and we saw a lot! There were deer tracks, and racoon tracks. Cash even found some deer horns that he brought home with him. When we were leaving we saw about 15 turkeys running around everywhere. The kids had a blast playing and the weather again on Sunday was fantastic!
We got home about 630pm and ate supper and the kids got ready for bed and spent the next hour playing and watching TV.  They played together really well all weekend.

Playing

Monday night Bob was passing through town on his way to Kansas. We went out to the sale barn to see him for a few minutes, and let Cash see his big truck up close. Cash was hestiate like he is with everything new and did not want to get inside so I was only able to get his picture in front of the truck.

When we got home Cash wanted to play with his new remote control dune buggy that he got for his birthday. It was easy to drive and would climb over anything. Cash was even nice enough to try and teach Palin how to drive it. I think that she will need something remote control wise for her birthday or Christmas this year.

Cash's Birthday Party! A Texas Ranger Event

Saturday we celebrated Cash's birthday with his friends with a Texas Ranger Birthday party. Cash had his first football before that and then we headed to the church family center where the party was held. Palin sported her Texas Ranger dress that mom made for her. This is the 3rd year that she has had a matching dress for the birthday party. This one she will get some good out of. She can wear it to baseball games and even when she needs to be patriotic. She looked cute. She told me, that its her new church dress. So I guess that she will be wearing it to church too!

Cash was cracking up when he opened his present from Uncle Bob.  It was in a brown sack, and was taped shut with masking tape. He had a brush inside, a lock, and some scotch tape. Uncle Bob always give unique gifts, but the best part is there is usually lots of money inside too. Bob gave  Cash $50 dollars in one dollar bills. Cash thought that it was great!
Palin spent most the time asking if she could have a cupcake and then another one and another one. She only eats all the icing and then throws the cupcake away! She was on a sugar high.
We got  Cash a wooden bat with his name engaved on it. He really liked it and is ready to hang it in his room.
After cake and presents Bob and Cash decided it would be fun to play with all money!

Palin starts Ballet Class

Palin started Ballet and Tap class yesterday. She had been excited all week to go to Ballernia class as she was calling it. When we arrived and it was time she became very clingly and would not let me leave her. They started with tumbling and she wanted nothing to do with it or ballet. She told the teacher she wanted to tap dance. So the teacher was great and let her put her tap shoes on. Once she had them on she was totally into it. She was running around tapping and listening to her teacher.

Then she was ready to do ballet dance and practice dancing like a ballerina. At the end she got to do tumbling on the mats and loved it. When class was over she started balling because we had to leave. She was screaming I dont want to leave ballerina class! I think that its going to be fun taking her. We go again next Wednesday!

Grandparents Day Lunch

Tuesday was grandparents day at school. Your grandparents could come and each lunch with you at school. Lois went and enjoyed lunch with Cash. She brought him McDonalds for lunch at his request, and Cash brought chocalate chip cookies from home for dessert for them. From the looks of their face it looks like they had a good time at lunch! While Lois was eating lunch with Cash, I met Whitney's mom for lunch and we had enjoyed looking at the pictures Lois has sent on her phone and that Whitneys grandparents sent her mom of them at lunch. Both Cash and Whitney lost a tooth the first week of school. So they are both going to be asking for thier front teeth for Christmas!

Aggieland

Cash had been wanting to go through College Station and look at the campus for a while but we never had time when we were driving through on our trips. So we had told him on his birthday we would stop on our way home. Since he wanted his birthday cake that we did on his birthday to be Aggie Football we thought this woudl be perfect to get some pictures of the kiddos at A&M that day.  We thought that we would be able to get closer to the football field for Cash but it was locked up and we could not get on the field.
We were able to get parked and take some pictures by the Association of Former students and the big Aggie Ring. The kids were impressed at how big it was. It made them look really small. Palin was confused and thought that we were going to the football game and she had her pom poms and could not understand why we were not going to the game. It was a nice break to get out of the car for a little while on our way home, we also ran to the mall there and got Cash a cookie cake to take to class yesterday to celebrate his birthday with his class.

Cash turns 7 in Houston

We headed to Houston for another non stop weekend. We got in around midnight on Friday and went straight to bed. The next morning Toby and I were up and out the door by 9am. We had to be in Conroe to watch Hunter's first baseball game. The kids decided to stay at mom and dads and go swimming while we went to the game. Toby and I went to lunch and Academy after the game and then met my parents around 230pm to get the kids to take them to Avery's first birthday party.
We got to Jayson's house right around 3pm. Avery had gotten a see saw for her birthday and the older boys enjoyed playing on it since she was too little to get any use out of it right now. We opened presents, ate cake and celebrated with them till about 6pm. On the way home we stopped by Julie and Lance's to see them, and watch a few minutes of the Texas A&M game and Sam Houston State.
Sunday morning was Cash's birthday and I got up around 515am, to help my mom place balloons around the house and Cash. My dad had just walked in the door. He had gotten up even earlier and gone to Shipley's so that I could make a donut cake for Cash to wake up to that morning. I had been talking about doing it but did not know if I would get up or not. Leave it to Papa, he was up and out the door and already back by 515am. He will do anything for the grandkids.

Mom had spent the afternoon on Saturday blowing up over 80 balloons to put all over house nad where Cash was sleeping so that he woke up to balloons everywhere. I taped them to the floor all over the living room and mom filled the area where Cash was sleeping.

We spent the rest of the morning opening presents, swimming for the last time this summer while we were there, and Palin enjoyed getting to paint with water colors. We went to lunch at Five Guys burgers. It was Cash's choice where we went. We were kinda hoping he would chose Roadhouse but he went for Burgers instead.

His actual birthday cake for his birthday was football themed since his party on Saturday will be baseball. He wanted an Aggie football field cake. We left mom and dad's around 130pm made a quick stop by Suzy's house and then were off to College Station to finish celebrating before coming home to Stephenville.

Oklahoma

Saturday morning after Great Wolf lodge we were up early and on the road to head to Oklahoma to spend a few days with my family. We decided to take a different route this time, since this was the first time we were coming from Stephenville. Along the way outside of Witchita Falls we passed by the world's biggest shovel. I made Toby pull over so we could take our picture in front of it.
We arrived in Edmond around 2pm on Saturday. We hung out at my grandmas house and cooked out hamburgers. The kids had fun and we had a low key evening visiting with them. Palin had a lot of fun playing with Grandpa. She would play hide and go seek and make him come find her.
The next morning on Sunday we were up and on our way to Ponca City. We went by and visited with my other Grandma. She was doing really good that day. After that we headed to my Aunt Debbies house where we ate lunch, and got to see lots of my cousins and their kids. I was really excited to see all them. My aunt had fun playing with Palin and decorating her fingernails and my cousin Lacy braided her hair. Palin thought it was so fun.
We left Debbie's mid afternoon and head out to the lake to visit my other Aunt Janell. They have a RV and go camping every weekend. Once we arrived my cousin Tiffany and her husband were there also. We all went out on the boat for the rest of the day. We had a blast. Cash thought it was so cool to stop in the lake and get to jump out of the boat into the lake.

This is the kids and Aunt Nellie.

Palin says, she was sooooo excited to go and we had a really great visit!!! Not sure why my pictures are posting sideways sometimes now. We came home on Monday and were worn out!
