Hunting and A big girl bed

We had a super cold weekend with tempatures not getting above 32 all weekend. We did a little shopping this weekend, went out to dinner with friends kid free, and let Toby's parents watch the kids for the evening. On Sunday we went to church and then over to friends house for lunch. When we got home I went grocery shopping and Toby stayed home with the kids. Toby and Cash decided last minute that the cold weather was perfect to go hunting in and they headed out around 430pm to go. They froze and did not see anything. When they got home Palin could not wait for Toby to take the front of her bed off. We have been telling her for weeks we would do it, we just had not. She was excited and she actually went down with out a problem and never got out of it after we told her it was bedtime. However, she rolled out of it about 5 times last night. Everytime I looked at the monitor she was not in there. I would go in her room and she was on the floor. I would pick her up and put her back in her bed. She never woke up when she rolled out. I guess that may take a little training.

State Flag Football

We loaded up Friday after work, and headed to Southlake for a weekend of Flag Football for the state championship. We arrived at the hotel around 9pm on Friday night. His coach was in the lobby greeting everyone and handing out our Hurrican shirts to wear to the game the next day.
The kids were excited once we got to the room, Cash was excited to have his own pull out bed and Palin decided to sleep on the couch next to him even though we had brought her bed.
We were up early the next morning and headed to the fields. They just built a new complex in Southlake and it was super nice. They had concession stands and bleachers around the fields. They even had a great playground for the kids between games.

They ended up playing 4 games through out the day with a couple of little breaks in between so we were able to go and grab lunch. His last game was that night, and Palin had a blast just drinking orange juice and hanging out on her blanket watching the game. They lost the last game barley! They played great, but did not make it onto Sunday for the finals. Now we are off to start getting ready for baseball season after Christmas!

Family Pics

Sunday after church one of the girls that I work with that does photography took our pictures for our Christmas card for this year. These are not the Christmas ones that we are using, I will keep those for a surprise when the cards arrive. They are the casual ones that she took of us.

The kids were perfect and were really good about taking pictures and smiling and being patient while we took them.
These get to serve as Cash 7 year pics, Palin 3 years old and Me and Toby's 10 year pictures. These are the only ones that I have gotten back. I cant wait to see all the rest. Palin took some really fun ones that I am anxious to see.

Weekend

This was our first weekend in 2 months without a football game, or at least till next weekend when Cash plays for the State playoffs. We went to breakfast on Saturday morning as a family and then Palin and I headed to a birthday party for her friend Lexi.
Toby and Cash headed to get hair cuts and then out to the farm. Palin and I met them out there after lunch for a bit to help/watch them work on the chicken pen. We all went home for the afternoon and watch the Texas A&M football game and then Toby and Cash headed to go hunting that eveninig before dark. While the boys were doing boy things, Palin and I played dress up. She wanted to be snow white!
That night after the boys had gotten home after successfully shooting a wild pig that Cash had to tell me all about, I gave the kids two catalogs to go through and look for ideas for Christmas. Palin had fun circling anything in Pink that she thought that she could not live without and Cash circled entire pages on somethings that he found.

We ended Saturday night by going and renting a movie to watch with the kids. They were excited to get their pillows and blankets and get to lay on the floor and stay up late and watch a movie. They lasted about 20 minutes and both were alseep on the floor.

Sunday we had a full day with church, and we had family pictures taken. That night while we fixed dinner, the kids sat at the bar in the kitchen and worked on their puzzles.

Cash was excited that while we were at the farm he got to climb on the ladder a little bit (not high) and help use the level to make sure the boards were straight. Palin likes just setting on the truck and watching everyone.

The Salon

The afternoon of Palin's birthday we made nail salon appts for mom, me and her. A new salon just opened up and they have a Hello Kitty chair for little girls. Palin was so excited. She is totally into getting her nails and toes painted all the time, so I knew she would be ready for this. She kept asking when are we going to the Salon.
Below she is looking at her toes once they were done. She had her toes painted purple with a flower on the toe and her fingers painted pink with a white heart on them. She likes showing everyone them!

Cash's football team won 2nd place in the league. They only lost one game this season. So we are going to State Playoffs in a couple of weeks. Cash is excited because that means two night in a hotel and a weekend of football!

Palin turns 3!

Saturday Palin Rayne turned 3 years old! We started off the morning by her waking up in her bed with balloons filling it and all around her room. She was excited about all the balloons and that they were in her favorite colors pink, purple and white!
She enjoyed playing with them and throwing back and forth in bed to the floor. She has been waiting for her birthday for so long. She was constantly asking when is my party? We had a birthday breakfast planned for her, so we got up and around pretty early to head to her party. She was excited to get dressed up in her Hello Kitty shirt and TuTu.
Toby, Cash and My dad headed to the football field, as Cash had a game that morning and they would be coming to the party a little late. My mom, Palin and I headed to the donut shop to pick up all our goodies for breakfast for the party.

We had donuts in the shape of number 3's, muffins, kolcahes and pink donut holes. We also enjoyed cake at the end of the party!

We played pin the bow on Hello Kitty, even though Palin did not want to cover her eyes when playing :)
The kids also got to color their own wooden Hello Kitty mask to take home with them. They were a hit!
The party was even that more special that Heidi was on Toby's best friends little girl got to come to the party. They came in all the way from New Orleans! The girls are 5 months apart, just like Toby and Marcus. Papa even sported a Hello Kitty shirt in honor of the Birthday girl! Papa will do anything for Palin.
Each girl got a Hello Kitty princess crown to wear during the party also. It was a party full of lots of pink and Hello Kitty gifts for the birthday girl. She got Hello Kitty Legos, Hello Kitty jacket, rain boots, umbrella, memory card games. I did not even know that they made that much in Hello Kitty!

It was a great party and we had a blast .The little girls had fun hiding under the tables and Palin enjoyed wearing her rain boots and her tutu. Makes a great statement doesnt it?

Halloween- Trick or Treating

We had a great Halloween day! We had a little fun at work and enjoyed passing out candy to the plant that morning.
As soon as I got off work we headed up to the town square for the costume contest. I really thought that Palin would win, but she did not. What a bummer! We still think that she is the cutest Minnie Mouse.
We waiting patiently for the judges to make a decision. I kept telling her to look at the judges.
We left the square and headed to our friends house to eat dinner and go trick or treating. Its about a 3 minute drive, when we got there I looked in the backseat and Minnie mouse was already asleep and we had not even started! I had to wake her up and get her to go inside. Once we ate a bite the kids were begging to go trick or treating.
This is Palin and Chaney. They are 6 months about and both have brothers named Cash. Cute huh? Can you tell that both their parents are republicans with names like that! Palin was a  little slow in her shoes that went with her costume so we ended up having to put her in her tennis shoes so she could keep up with the group.
It took her an Chaney about 3 houses and they had it figured out and they were running door to door.

In the meantime Cash and Cash were busy running ahead to the next house, and not waiting for their little sisters. We made a big circle around the block and decided that we would call it a night, because we still had to stop by my friend Angie's house. We went by Angie's and she had little gift bags for the kids filled with Halloween goodies. She is so sweet to my kids and really likes them.
We had a great Halloween Trick or Treating with Kribbs, and the kids were alseep in about 5 minutes once we got them in bed!
