Downtown Aquariuam

Toby has been working a lot lately so we decided the other day to make an evening trip downtown to the aquarium. Since it is light till almost 9pm we knew that going after work we would still have time to do everything. We got down there and Cash was amazed just by the things that were outside before we even got in the doors. He was pointing to all the fish and sharks and talking about them.
This was the perfect ttime to go this week. Since school was still in and it was a workday there was hardly anyone there. We got to walk through all the exhibits and see all the fish with no people around. Cash got to run free and did not have to be in his stroller. It was great!

There were fish and sharks and even stingrays that we got to touch. Every where you looked there was something swimming around you. Cash really enjoyed it.

They have a train outside that you can take that drives you around the park and through a tunnel that surrounds you by water and swimming sharks. Since no one was there, we got to sit on the front of the train, and there were only 5 other people total on the train with us.
While we were there I got Toby and Cash to get on the ferris wheel. This is the biggest and the fastest one that I have ever rode. It goes up over Interstate 45 and it by the skyscrapers downtown. It was pretty neat to ride on. I freaked out a little bit. It moved a little faster than I was expecting! Cash was a little worried at first but then really liked it.
It is not just a place for fish.... they had real tigers too. They were sleeping while we were there, so we did not get to see them moving much. This was taken by the entrance to the tiger pen.
Even though we went late in the day it was HOT! Gotta love Houston! They had a misting cooling station that Cash and Toby ran through. Cash did not know what to think about it! Afterwards it was time to eat, and since we were already downtown Houston, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe and ate dinner there. By the time we got home around 10pm, we were all exhausted! It was great to spend some time as a little family!

Oklahoma - Graduation

Last weekend, Cash and my parents all drove up to Oklahoma, for my Cousin's graduation and to visit some of my relatives. Cash was great on the 8 hour drive and never complained about being in the car at all. He chatted up a storm.
Cash and my grandparents, his great grandparents. We spent the night at their house while we were their visiting.
He got to go to my Aunt Debbies house and she has 5 grandsons, so he had lots to play with. He had a horse swing, that he had a blast swinging on, and 2 of her grandsons were there and had crawdads that they were going fishing with that Cash got to play with. He thought that it was a lot of fun.

My aunt on the left, my mom in the middle and my grandma on the right. We spent a lot of time at my aunts house on her deck just cooking out and celebrating Tiffany's graduation.
My Uncle Tom is the fire chief in Blackwell Oklahoma, so we got to take Cash up to the firestation and see all the big fire trucks. Cash was even special enough that they turned on the lights and sirens for him. He got the whole tour of the firestation, he even got to see where they sleep and the pole that they actually slide down when there is a fire.
Here is my family with Tiffany after her graduation on Sunday - minus Toby, he had to work so he did not get to go with us.
Cash enjoyed gettting to eat graduation cake.

When we got back on Monday, Cash and PaPa, went grasshopper hunting, and caught 4 of them and put them in Cash's bug catcher. They had a lot of fun going around the house and yard and looking for them. We had a great weekend, and will be going back in August for my cousin Lacy's wedding.

Cash's First School Play

Friday night Cash had his first school play. His class sang at the First Baptist Church in Willis. They all had cute little Tshirts made that had a little boy in cowboy boots that said, thank heavens for little cowboys. Cash's teacher had to hold his hand and let him lead the class onto stage so that he would go up there. Once he got there he looked pretty worried but I thought that he would make it. As you can see below it did not go that way. He got worried...

worried... a little more.....
then his lip stuck out and the tears started coming .......

and then it was the loudest, scream that you have ever heard!! The daycare director had to go and get him off stage, and I ran up and got him and held him for the rest of the performance. I guess he will not be a movie star... just like his dad.. does not care for crowds!

New way to do Laundry

So.... I hate anything domestic... Cleaning, cooking, laundry... all of it! Thats why I choose to have the career and not be a stay at home mom, so I do not have to do that, and I have a lovely lady named Matilda(not really her name is Angela) that cleans my house from week to week. Matilda just sounds like a better maid name. But lately I have found that Cash likes to help to the laundry. He likes to put things in the washer and then put them in the dryer. So now I have a new buddy to help. He even make me stand in the hallway and tells me to stay, that he wants to do it alone.

Cash New Favorite Food!

Cash very seldom smiles for the camera, I have thousands of pictures of the back of his head. But lately sometimes I can get him to smile for me. This was one of those days. We had stopped by the corner store to get some milk and he found some donuts that he wanted. I told him he had not had them and would not like them.... he proceeded to scream in public so I told him to get the donuts, I know I am soft, but he was screaming in the store, and I needed him to be quiet.
He first picked up the chocalate ones and I knew that he would not like them, so I told him that, he then picked up the white ones and said mama I want white ones! So thats what we left with.
He was so excited to get home and eat them, he ran right inside to the table and demanded that I open them.

The next 20 minutes consisted of him eating them and smiling for me on cue, and getting powered donuts everywhere!

But it did make for some cute pictures!! Note: I did not do the spikey hair, Toby hates it. I took him for a hair cut and the lady who cut it, styled it that way!

Mothers Day Weekend

This weekend, was hot and sunny. We did not do much except really just enjoy the weekend. Saturday afternoon, Toby, Me and Cash all took a 2 1/2 hour nap! It was nice!! Toby had to work on Mother's Day so we headed over to my parents to spend the day swimming and playing in the water. Pa Pa cooked out hot dogs for us, and Cash wanted nothing to do with us cutting his up, he wanted to eat the hot dog like a big person.
Cash had not been in the water since last summer and it took him a little while to get warmed up to it again. The first 30 mintues he was glued to me and was holding on for dear life, and would not let go. After a little while he started getting braver. He started out in just his floaties, but then I added the ring and the noodle where his head would not end up in the water, since he does not know to keep his mouth closed.
Once he had enough floatation devices, he was a happy camper and spent the next few hours kicking, and splashing. He kept saying, look mama I floating like you! ( I did not have all the floation devices when I was floating.)

he would kick and kick, and then he would say, Faster, Faster, and make bigger splashes with his feet! I think that by the end of the summer he is going to be a fish!

He liked to get thrown up high in the air, you just have to not let go, cause he is not crazy about going under water till we get down that you have to close your eyes and shut your mouth!!
This time was Cash was there, he and Pa Pa went frog hunting on the golf course that my parents house is on, by the pond to look for frogs once it got dark. Cash was real excited about it, and he even touched the frog!! It was a great weekend, of just relaxing, which was nice!!

Krogering With Cash !!

Last night after I picked Cash up we went to Kroger to go shopping. Cash did not want to ride in the cart and instisted on helping me with the cart. He actually wanted to push it all by hiself. It was a slow process to get into the store to go shopping. But he kept saying, Mama, I want to help you. It was so cute.

As I said we went right after work and we had to park in the back of the parking lot, but he pushed it all the way into the store. When we got into the store, I talked him into getting in one that had a car in the front so he could drive it around the store. It was fun. We did our shopping and then went home and I let him help me make dinner. He was so excited to get to help with it!

Do I need a haircut?

The other night when I was giving Cash a bath I decided to give him a mohawk. He thought that it was pretty funny! I guess its time we get a haircut, since it stands up that tall when its wet! By the way he never smiles that big for the camera!! Never!!

New Position... New Office

Well for those who do not know starting next week I start a new position as McKesson. For awhile now I have been thinking about going into operations, and now the time has presented it self. I will now be the Transporation Manager/Asst. Inventory Manager. I am excited about the new roles. I will be in charge of all of our truck departures and routes, along with our inventory. This is a great opportunity and something that I have been looking foward to. It will allow me the opportunity to keep moving up. I want to run my own DC one day. So with a new position comes a new office. Here are some pictures of my new office.

This is the wall that my desks faces, lots of fun things to look at while I am working all day.

Here is a close up of what I stare at all day! Lots of pictures, and such to keep me inspired to keep working!!! Also along with the new job, comes other news, I got accepted to Grad school to get my Masters In Human Resource Development. Lots of exciting times!!
