Weekend!

This weekend started out on Friday night cooking out at the Schultz's house. On Saturday Toby and spent most the day not doing a lot. We cleaned up around the house and then his mom called, and his dad and her had gone to the A&M game and wanted to know if we wanted to meet them in Montgomery for dinner, so we did. Cash also decided that he likes wearing daddy's sunglasses! Doesn't he look cool?
We ate at Fajita Jack's after dinner we got Cash an ice cream cone and he was so excited to get one!
Look at the look of excitement on his face!

Here he is taking a big bite out of his ice cream cone!!

Toby's Parents and Cash!

After dinner with them we went out to one of Toby's friends deer lease and roasted marshmallows on a fire. It was Cash's first time and he had a blast!
Sunday my mom drove up to watch Cash, because we were supposed to go to the Astros game, but leave it to me and my screwed up self, when we left for the game I looked at the tickets and they were for Saturday not Sunday! Needless to say Toby was less than amused with me. Oh well, maybe next year we will try the astros again!

My own toolbench!

Cash is still getting to celebrate his birthday, two weeks later! Our good friends Marc and Meredith send Cash his very own workbench to put in Toby's shop for his birthday. It arrived today and tonight Toby and Cash got to put it together! Cash was so excited, he knew that they box was for him and wanted it opened right away.
As soon as Toby opened it, Cash got the hammer out and took in the house to start hammering on my walls! Thanks Marc, just remember we will return the favor soon one day! Toby put his bench together and then Cash spent the next hour playing with it. Its pretty cool, the tools all make noises and it came with things for him to try and build with it.

Now Cash can be just like dad!! Thanks again Marc and Meredith! He loved it!

We don't like IKE!

Well, needless to say, We do not like IKE in this household. We spent 8 days without power and water, and it was horrible! We finally got lights back this weekend. My parents are still without. The week after Ike proved to be a REALLY long week. I still had to work, and ended up working a lot of hours. Since all the schools and daycares were closed we let our employees bring them to work, it was a ZOO!!! I am looking foward to a better more normal week this week. Cash was so bored at my office he ended up playing with a girls I work with daughter's my little pony toy! My parents came and got him on Wednesday and he spent some time with them to give me a break from him at work so that I could get something done. Thanks to them for that!

The whole day on Cash's Birthday

Today was Cash's real birthday and I took a vacation day so that we could spend the day together, and we had a busy day! We started off by going to work and school. I had a meeting that I had to attend, so he went to daycare for about an hour. I picked him up and we went to see Toby at his new office. Then it was off to get a haircut. Today was the first time that Cash had gotten a haircut that they set him in the booster seat with out him sitting on my lap. He did great. He was a little concerned about what was happening.
Next stop was the Dr office for his 2 year check up and shots. He was 36 inches tall, you realize that it 3 feet tall! My best friend Julie is only 5 feet tall, so Cash will probaley outgrow her next year! He also weighed 36 pounds. The Dr said he is perfect and right on track for his age. Cash got a little bored waiting in the room for the doctor and he started climbing on every thing as you can see below.
Next we went to have our pictures taken that I have already posted below. We went to babies r us and when we were leaving Cash wanted to ride on the fire truck, my dad was with us and he ended up riding 3 times before he would get off! Thanks for all the rides Papa!

After that Cash and I headed home to wait for daddy to get off work and bring home pizza for Cash for supper. My parents came up and were here for Cash to unwrap presents from them and from us. He got his first remote control car. He is really starting to get into opening presents.

My parents got him an outside basketball goal, and he loved it. It was a little harder than we thought to put together.

Cash thought that it was fun to stand inside the basketball goal as opposed to standing outside it and throwing the ball.

Lastly we sang happy birthday and let him blow out candles! It was a long fun filled day! My 2 YEAR OLD is getting so big!! We love you CASH!

Cash and his Tricycle Birthday Celebration Part 2

Toby's parents got Cash a tricycle for his birthday we waited and gave it to him today after the party when things were not as crazy! He loved it.

Thanks to Oma, it even has a horn on it! Everytime he honks it, Smokey starts barking in the back yard!
Here Cash is honking the horn on it. Cash has not figured out how to make it go yet, so Dad had to try and help out.

Thanks for Cash's bike! He will have lots of fun learning to ride it!
Stay tuned to details on his real birthday tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Cash!

This Saturday was Cash's 2nd Birthday party, the weather was great, the people were great and he had the time of his life!!
This year we had the party at our house and rented a bouncehouse for the kiddos to play in, which even led to many of the bigger kids (adults) playing in it by the end of the night.

Here is a picture of Cash and Daddy jumping in it before the party began! Once Cash got used to the bounce house he never wanted to come out.

His party this year was Sesame Street themed. Here is a picture of his cake and cupcakes for the kiddos. He had his only personal 2 cake.

I loved the cake! It was sooo cute and was super yummy!

Here is Cash and me before the party trying to take some pictures. I learned one thing from this party, Cash does not like posing for the camera. He never would look at it. We had many close friends and family come over to the house, we had BBQ, and played lots of games for the kids.
Here is Cash and some of the other kids playing pin the nose on Elmo. As you can see Cash pinned his nose on Elmo's leg, but his little friend Cole who is pictured in the white tshirt went over as soon as Cash was done and moved his nose to Elmo's nose where it was supposed to go. These two kids have really gotten to be close. They are in the same daycare room everyday and Cole's parents and me and Toby going walking everynight with the kids, so that have gotten really close. We are super excited about it, as they live in our neighborhood and Cash will get to grow up with him.

We had a special vistor that arrived at the party, ELMO came to visit. Let me just say we owe a BIG THANKS, to my good friend SUZY TRAMEL, for getting the Elmo costume for us! It was a big hit, and even though I think that Cash was scared of him, he was a big hit at the party! A big thanks also goes to Uncle Jayson for actually playing ELMO!! I know that the costume had to be hot and Uncle J was such a great sport about it!!

Here is Cash getting ready to eat his cake. I really thought that he would dive into it this year and he really did not. We will see tomorrow on his real birthday what he does when its just me and Toby around. I think at times he was overwhelmed with everything.

I love this picture that Julie got with her camera of him biting into a Cookie monster cupcake!

We had two pinatas for the kids to hit, we had an emlo and a cookie monster. All the kids got into the pinats and got lots of Candy once they broke. Both times when Emlo and Cookie monsters head got hit off, Cash freaked out and started screaming and crying trying to put Elmo back together. I think that I tramatized him! Note to Self: No pinatas when they are characters or people!

Here are the boys getting their candy out of the bag later on in the evening! It was a great party!
