Cash's Trip to Houston

I know that I posted some pictures from Cash was at my parents but I got some more from his trip. Mom said that they never stopped while he was there. Mom had found a recipe for chocolate chip cookies with an oreo in side that she wanted to try. So her and Cash made them while he was there. They came out looking kinda funny, but Cash did not mind and enjoyed eating them no matter what they looked like.

They went to the circus downtown Houston, and the first night he was there went to Walmart and bought a bunch of games to play while he was there. Games consisted of: Sorry, Uno, trouble, checkers, Old Maid, and Memory. They played each of them a bunch. I believe over the 4 days they played over 52 games. They made a scorecard and kept track of who won what game over the 4 days while he was there. Cash was so excited to bring his scoreboard home and put it in his room.
They got to make homemade french fries, go to the movies and see the new movie Turbo that came out, went to CiCi's to eat pizza.
Went to the park to play with his toy that he bought at the circus, went to Splashtown to the waterpark and rode waterslides, and even went bowling for the first time! Yikes! I am tired just from typing all the things that they did and that was only over 4 days. They started early and went non stop doing 2 and 3 things a day!

                                                                              He had a great time!!!

Houston

Saturday morning Cash had baseball tryouts and Palin was all decked out in her Under Armor wear and ready to go. We had try out till about 11 am and then the kids and I headed to Houston. We stopped in Conroe and met up with the kids friends. Palin and Asher got to hang out and play and so did Cheyenne and Cash. It had been about 4 months since they had seen each other. They were so excited.

Sunday night I left the kids with my parents and I headed to the Woodlands to meet with Suzy and Julie. We went to dinner at Tommy Bahamas and then headed across the street to see Brad Paisley concert. We had a really great time and it was good to get to see the girls.

Yesterday on the way home we went and saw Dana and the kids and then grabbed lunch and headed home so Cash was back in time for baseball lessons last night. The trip was great and the kids got to see alot of thier friends while we were down there.

Rec Sports Kidz Camp

Cash finished up this week at Rec camp at Tarleton with his friend Whiteny. Today they had a luncheon for the parents to come to. I ran up to it on my lunch break and I am glad that I did. Cash got the award for best male camper! I was so excited for him. I contuine to be amazed of how well he has done since we moved. He never had missed a beat and has excelled at everything that we have put him in. He loves it here and I am so glad that the move was a good for him.

Cash was explaining to Mandy (Whitney's mom) about the food groups that they learned about at camp. Him and Whiteny got to make the chart together. They had to be in groups and they were together.  I took of picture of their names because I thought that it was cute, where they had signed it. Cash has had a really busy summer but he has had a blast.

Splashville

After Rec Camp and work I picked Cash and Palin up and also Whitney who has been going to camp with Cash all week and we headed to Splashville for a couple of hours before they closed. The kids really love going. Cash and Whiteny hit the lazy river and Palin and I hung out at the kids place.

I finally convinced Cash to come play where I was with Palin so that maybe I would get her to go down the slides. The last couple of times that we went Palin would not do the slides, but this time she finally did. Once she did it she wanted to do it AGAIN and AGAIN and she did about 50 times.

Once they closed we loaded up and headed back to our house and the kids ate supper, they were starving after a day of camp and swimming. They played till about 830pm when Mandy came and picked up Whitney.

Wiped Out

Cash has been going to Rec Kidz Camp all week at Tarleton. Its an all day camp and he comes home wiped out. They swim, play dodgeball, go Kayaking, play hockey, climb rock walls. He fell asleep last night at 550pm and slept till this morning. He did wake up and get in his bed other than that he was out. He loves it but they have them moving all day and non stop. At least he is not getting bored!

Weekend

Friday night after work Toby and I took Palin to Toby's parents to spend the night, we headed to Hico to try out a Mexican resturant there just the two of us since Cash was still at my parents in Houston.
After dinner it was still light out side so we enjoyed, just walking around the town sqaure and looking in the shops downtown.

Saturday I headed to Dublin to get Palin and spend some time at the flower shop. Toby had been working at the farm, and came into town to meet us for lunch. By the end of lunch Palin had fallen asleep in my lap so Toby carried to the car. She was exhausted!
Sunday at church Palin was not wanting to sit still through church. Either was Lexi. Toby and Whit ended up sitting in the foyer with the girls through church and they both passed out and went to sleep. The two were sitting in the back with both girls sleeping when church was over. I could not resist snapping a picture of them.
Cash finally came home last night and we were ready to see him. Him and Palin were so excited to see each other and they played really well together last night. They were pretending that it was raining and that they were doctors. They both have quite the imagination. They fight over the recliner everyday on who gets to sit in it. They actually were sharing it this morning before we left.  I was so shocked! It was great. They were laughing..... if they could only stay like this all the time.

Cash is Away

Cash headed to my parents for a few days on Wednesday, we get to pick him back up Sunday. He will be there 4 nights, thats my limit. I have never been away from the kids longer than that and never been away from Palin longer than 2 nights when she was a baby. This is not odd though considering I never spent the night away from home till High School. Cash has been doing things non stop since he go tthere. As they rolled into town on Wednesday Cash made them take him to CiCi's pizza. Yesterday they spent the day at Splashtown waterpark riding all the water rides. Today they were headed downtown Houston to Reliant Stadium to go to the Circus that was in town. From the pictures I got today, looks like they are having fun. Mom and Dad always go down early before the Circus starts so that they can look at all the animals and meet the clowns before.

Palin stayed back with us, and she has been enjoying a little peace. I took her to the store with me yesterday after work and she always wants to buy EVERYTHING! We left with donuts, and granola bars that were not on the list but she insisted on having them. She has not stopped talking either since Cash left. NON STOP! I wonder where she gets that!

July 16th - My 32nd!

Was my 32nd Birthday... Gasp! That sounds so old. I remember thinking that people that were in their 30's were old, and now here I am. Despite the fact that I am a year older, it was a great day. I worked yesterday which was the first time in ever that I have worked on my birthday. But I had a good day. Whit's sister Molly works with me and took me to lunch to my birthday. The kids sent me flowers and balloons to work.
When I got home from work and Toby we met his parents at Fiddlecreek Steakhouse and had dinner. We then went back to the house to have cake and it was so yummy. I was anxious to find a baker here to make the kids cakes since thier birthdays are coming up, and this cake was super sweet and yummy. So I think that I found the right one!
They sang Happy Birthday to me and Palin was so sweet last night. She kept saying Happy Birthday Mommy and giving me hugs. She was the sweetest thing. We blew out candles or tried to. Somebody (Lois) had bought candles that relit after you blew them out. So I would blow them out again and again. Cash thought it was funny because they kept relighting themselves. He laughed so hard about it. We had never seen him laugh that hard and he could not stop! He even tried helping me blow them out.

Palin could hardly contain herself of eating cake and opening presents. She had cake everywhere on her face, but she loves her some icing... just like her mama! She had wanted to open presents since she woke up yesterday morning and saw them on the table. She was more than ready to help me open them and was even opening them before I got to them. I got a new purse, money for pedicures, necklaces, tumbler cup,and earrings and a photo holder for my desk. It was a great night!

Toby got promoted!

Have to brag on Toby for a second. He got an offer letter today for a promotion with his company! He wont be doing a lot different than what he was already doing but will get to go out in the field and be with customers more than just being in the office all day and he got a raise... so thats always a good thing :)

                                                                                      Congrats Toby! We love you!

Potty Trained

I should have blogged about this earlier but better late than never. Palin has been potty trained for about three months now. It was an easy process. It took her about a week and then no more accidents. We went with the cold turkey approach and put her in panties and after about of week of changing outfits 6 or 7 times a day she figured it out! Here is Palin's I'm a big Girl now pose!

Weekend Recap

We had a pretty low key relaxing weekend. Friday night we just hung out at the house, and Palin play dr with her babies and took care of them. Cash has been wanting to start collecting baseball cards for a couple of weeks. We told him is he was good for a whole week and did not throw fits he could go get some. It did not work, and he still wanted some. We told him that he would have to use his own money. Cash does not like to give up his money at all. But he did and bought one back of baseball cards for $2.17. The next day I had to go back to Walmart and he once again bought another pack of cards for $2.17. He wanted a binder and card holder to put them in, but told him that he still had to make it one whole week without getting in trouble. He tried so hard last week and he made it! So Friday night when Toby came home he had a binder and card holder sleeves for him. Cash was so excited and spent the next hour putting his cards in it.

The kids are starting to play together better now, they still get mad over stuff, but we can at least go an hour or two with them playing together. This weekend they decided that Cash was going to be Palin's dog. He did as she said and she even locked him up in Bo's cage in the house. They wrestled and played all weekend. Sometimes Palin would win a fight and other times Cash would. he are some pictures of them over the weekend.

They for sure have a love hate relationship. they can go from loving each other to try to killing each other the next moment. I guess that the joy of siblings.

Saturday afternoon I headed to Fort Worth to meet my dear friend Jill for a birthday dinner celebration early. Jill has always been a dear friend since she worked for me when I was the HR manager at McKesson and she has always made my brithday special, she always took me to lunch and decorated my office to make me feel special.  We worked at McKesson together and she now lives in Frisco, so its about an hour dirve for each of us to meet in Fort Worth. We did some shopping at Academy, Garden Ridge, Kohls and a few other stores before heading to my favorite place Outback for dinner. We had a great time catching up with out the kids and enjoying a peaceful dinner. So glad that we can get together and do these things. This is the second time since we moved that I have met up with her since we moved to Stephenville.
Trying to take family pictures never works. We were trying to take one before church yesterday. But Cash did snap a cute one of me and Palin, before we left. Palin's hair is braided in the below picture. Its her new thing, that she wants it braided with bows in it all the time now..she is a MESS!
