Jet Setter.... Perfect word for Cash... because his Paw Paw loves to fly and because I have decided that it best describes Cash... He is currently a jet setter... He is into anything and everything and goes 100 mph from when he wakes up till he falls asleep. I wish I had as much energy as him, and I would feel great. We picked him up from Daycare today, "we" meaning me and Toby in two different vechicles.. but thats a story for another day. He was running around the parking lot at day care like a crazy man... he was having so much fun. Today is leap day... it's Cash's first leap day. His daycare made leap day shirts for the kids... so he was actually in a tshirt that said, " Leap Day 2008" and had his handprints on it. It is so cute. Today I decided one advantage to daycare... if I was a stay at home mom I would never get these super cool crafts that he makes and brings home. Examples: today the tshirt with his hand prints, mothers day and Valentines day we got a heart with his hand print on it... oh yeah, and for Halloween they took thier feet prints and put them on black paper and made them look like ghosts.. and put rolling on eyes on them. They are super cute... so I decided if I was a stay at home mom I would not have these suprises for me that I get when I pick him up. We are glad that it is Friday, we have the weekend off! Yeah!

Night Night Baby
We have a nightly routine, we come home from work... we eat dinner... we give Cash a bath... we put Cash to sleep. Ever since Cash started in his new room we are lucky to even get him to the dinner table. He is so tired when he gets home... and hungery. Tonight we got home and Toby had dinner ready when Cash and I arrived. We ate and Cash fed hiself. He comes home and goes to the kitchen table and waits for us to put him in his chair to eat, he gets in patient if he has to wait too long. After dinner, he went and got one of his books and headed to Toby's lap. He read to Cash and then this is what we had.... A SLEEPING BABY! It was such a precious picture, I wanted to include it for all to see. When he is sleeping he is so peaceful, and precious.. it makes being a mom totally worth it.. even worth the sleepless nights to see this little guy! So good night Cash! We love you!

A Day at the Park
It was a pretty weekend and we took full advantage of it. Since Cash LOVES being outside, we decided to take Cash to the park on Sunday afternoon. We had a blast. The park that we went to was on Lake Conroe so Cash got to play at the park and see the lake! What an trip! In this photo Cash and Toby pose for a picture but something else had Cash's attention.
Cash loved to sit by the water and watch the ducks in the water. As you can see in the picture he was more concerned with what the ducks were doing and not interested in Toby taking the picture.
Cash loved going down the slide... over and over.... and over... and over... and over.. okay you get the picture. He would slide down and run to the bottom and start climbing the stairs to get back to the top of the slide as fast as he could. He sure got his work out... he was exhausted when we got home and he slept for so long that we had to wake him up in fear that if he kept sleeping he would never sleep at night.
I love this picture of him even though he was not looking at the camera... he looks like such an innocent little boy.... we will see if I still think the same thing when he turns 16! Ha! We had a blast outside this weekend, and can not wait till this summer. I already bought Cash a pool for the yard with a slide to play in... it just needs to get a little warmer and that's where you can find us playing this summer.

Worst Mom In the World!
Today is foggy and gloomy outside... perfect for a day that I feel like the worst mom in the world. I dropped Cash off at daycare today, and you see it was his first day in his big new room with the big kids... he started screaming and crying and would not let go of me! He looked so scared and terrified... how could I leave him like that? I couldn't... I stayed for a bit in hopes that he would warm up to the new room and the new kids... and nothing... just held onto me tighter... and tighter... the lady in this new room started fixing his breakfast which was cereal in a bowl with milk... does she not know that he is 17 months old ... he can not eat that yet!! I informed the lady that Cash only has 4 teeth and can not hold a bowl and eat cereal, he has to have it dry!! Finally a lady from Cash's old room came in and Cash went to her , you could tell that he was SO relieved to have a face that he knew. I snuck out as soon as he went to her. I feel like the worst mom in the world leaving him today. I cried all the way to work this morning. It was horrible.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!
Today was Toby's 29th birthday! Wow how time flies! This is the 9th bday that we have spent together, which means that we are getting old. I still do not feel any older than I did 10 years ago. We came home from work tonight and gave Toby his birthday cake and of course Cash wanted to help with it.
Here are some pictures of Cash after we cut the cake and gave him his own piece. He was so excited to get to eat birthday cake. He enjoyes more than on his birthday. I think because he is older and could feed hiself. As you can see we went straight to the bathtub after we ate cake!

Saturday Night with the Funkhousers
Tonight the Funkhousers came over for dinner. Cash loves it when they come to visit and so does mom and dad. Its gives us a break from being mommy and daddy and lets Jayson and Erin take a turn at it. (they need the practice, they need to hurry up and make Cash a friend) Cash loves getting the attention from them. Tonight Erin got the honors of feeding Cash, and anyone who has fed Cash knows that is a messy ordeal. As you can tell he got pretty messy and that's why some of the pictures he is shirtless. Now that we have gotten away from using the highchair Cash thinks that he is a big person. Just look at the look on his face when he is eating. Its priceless. Eating meals still is a challenge for Cash. He is 17 months old and only has 4 teeth!! Allyson, if you are reading this, don't worry Harper will get some one day, Cash did not get his first one till he was one! I was so worried that he would never have teeth, but they are finally starting to come in, slowly but surely.
We ate dinner with them and then we all helped put together one of Cash's new toys. Its not actually new as it has been in the closet since his birthday, he is just getting big enough to really enjoy it. Its a bouncing Zebra, I know your probaley thinking just what every kids needs! But its actually quite fun. It spins and play musis when he jumps up and down on it. Its a blast. One thing is for sure, Cash will not get bored!
Thanks Grandma and Paw Paw!
Cash spent the night at my parent's house last night, and they brought him and his Valentine's present to my house today! They got him a really cool little tykes slide. Cash loves it. He thinks he is such a big person when he gets to climb on it and then slide down. I can tell this is going to be one of his favorite toys this summer outside. Right now it's in my living room for him to play on. You can defintely tell a kid lives in my house.
Thanks again Grandma and Paw Paw! I love it!!!

From baby to little boy....
It all started when I picked Cash up this afternoon from daycare, I walked in the front door of his school and the lady at the front asked me if I was ready to let Cash move to the next room. I was a little shocked as I had not prepared myself for this yet. You see, the next room is clearly him transitioning from baby to little boy. They start sleeping on mats no more cribs, they eat at a table, no more highchairs, and they have a set routine, they have gym time, craft time and outside play time. They simply become little boys.... Am I ready for this? My mind was racing, Cash would start in that room sometime next week. As I walked down to his class to get him, I walked in the door and said HAPPY VALENTINE"S DAY Cash! For the first time ever he ran over to me and I bent down to him and he actually hugged me like a little boy, not a baby.
We got in the car and headed home, Toby would be home shortly for us to have dinner for Valentine's. As I looked in my rearview mirror on the way home, it all hit it me, Cash was not a baby any more, he was a little boy. You can see the picture of him in his carseat and see what I saw today, how he has grown.
We got home and Toby arrived, and we ate dinner as a family. Next it was bathtime. Cash was in the best mood tonight! He laughed and giggled, and climbed all over Toby. As I layed him down tonight I could not believe the little boy he has become! Its amazing how fast he has grown in the last 17 months! Tonight for the first time he climbed up on the coach by hiself! It's crazy what he can do now. As he becomes a little boy, I am saddened that I have lost my little baby, but I am excited as what they future holds with him!
Happy Valentine's Day
This is what my office looked like this morning when I walked in! Toby had come up last night and put rose petals all over my office floor and desk and had a vase of flowers on my desk. There was also long stem roses all over my office! He is the best husband in the world!!!
I made cupcakes last night, yes I Mindy was domestic and made cupcakes for Cash's Valentine party at school today. I could have just bought some at the store and saved the time of making them at 10 o'clock last night, but I wanted Cash to have homemade ones to take to class. I know that he will not remember but its the thought that counts right??
Hope that everyone has a great day!! Sorry about the picture being sideways, I do not know how to flip it!

Valentine's with Uncle J and Aunt E
Tonight we went over to our friends house, who Cash refers to as Uncle J and Aunt E. Their names are really (Jayson and Erin) but we call them by J and E. They SPOIL SPOIL SPOIL Cash like he was their own. I think that they have bought him more toys than we have!
Tonight Erin just could not wait till Valentine's day to give Cash his presents, so he got to open them tonight! They got him the cutest frog washcloth for bath time which Cash loves!! They also got him a new John Deere book that he made Toby start reading to him as soon as he opened it.
Cash is really starting to enjoy people reading to him, he thinks its great.
Thanks for a great Valentine's Day Uncle J and Aunt E! Your the best!!!

Moody! Moody!
Cash is becoming his own person for sure! He is a moody little thing, yesterday we got home from work and he screamed and cried for 2 hours and refused to eat dinner, he eventually went to sleep about 8pm. Toby says he takes after me, I disagree with this fact as I do not think that I am moody.
Tonight Toby picked him up from daycare and we met some of our friends at the Pizza Shack in Willis for dinner and he was in the best mood, he was amazed watching the people make the pizzas at pizza shack!
We came home and let him play outside, it was cold tonight so we bundled him up and he had a blast. When we came in he was just talking up a storm. Of course he speaks his own language that I can not understand but he thinks that he is talking so that's all that is important.
More pics soon!
