My Hubby

It's Friday! I got to the office and around 8:05am this morning, the receptionist called me and said flowers has just been delivered up front for me. I walked up there, and to my surprise this was what was waiting for me.. He is such a dear :) They smell incredible... I love them. It was a pleasant surprise. Toby doesnt usually do flowers, he always says no one can do them as good as his mom, but now that we are in Stephenville and my mom in law owns the flower shop.. he has no excuses!!

Easter Weekend

We were up at 445am on Friday and on the road by 6am to head to my parents for Easter. It was a great visit and the kids had a blast. We met my parents in the Woodlands around 1030am on Friday morning. They took the kids for the day to lunch at McDonalds of course and then it was off to Old McDonald's farm for the day. Mom said Palin loved the animals and had a blast feeding everything. They got to play on the playground and go down all the slides. Mom's sunglasses even got broke on the slide. I ran some errands and met Julie for lunch, while Toby worked on packing the last few things left at the house. That night when we returned to my parents we colored Easter Eggs. Palin enjoyed getting to paint them with paint and paintbrush and was not so interested in coloring them.

We spent Saturday morning around my parents house before heading to Conroe. Toby and Cash spent the afternoon playing golf with Jayson. Erin and I went shopping. That night we went to dinner at Wings N More with the Funkhouser's and then headed to my parents. Palin got to hang out with my parents on Saturday and they took her to the park for most of the afternoon.

They kids were up early on Sunday. They were anixous to find eggs and see what the bunny had brought them. We made sugar cookies that morning and let the kids decorate them. It was a mess but fun. We had Easter dinner and then loaded up and headed back to Stephenville. We got home around 9pm, and were tired. Finally got the kids down around 10:15pm. What a weekend!

The kids were up looking for eggs before the Sun was even up on Sunday morning. The silly Easer bunny had the eggs hidden all over the place, inside and outside.
This picture has grown over the years. First it started with Toby and Jayson, and then we took it a few years later with Cash in it, the night that Hunter was born before we went to the hospital with Jayson and Erin. This night we were able to take the picture with all four guys. They are in age order. It has always been one of Erin and mines favorite pics of the boys. We took this at Wings N More on Saturday night.

Cash colored the Easter Bunny a picture to leave out with his basket. He was very proud of his artwork and left it in his basket with his eggs that he colored for the bunny to hide.

A success!

Well the week was a success. Cash loves his new school and thought that his new school was better than his last one. We are so thankful for that. Palin screamed and cried when I left her the last two mornings, but seems to be fine once I am gone and the last three days has gone inside daycare on her own and told me bye with no tears! My first week has gone well, its a big change in pace from McKesson but something that I was ready for. Toby's job has worked out well too. We seem to be getting in a routine and life is good.

Today after church the church has an easter egg hunt for the kids. It was supposed to be outside and we were supposed to have a picnic lunch. We woke up to 30 degree and the wind blowing strong. We had to break out our winter coats that never got much use in Houston. They moved the easter egg hunt to the fellowship hall since it was so cold. Here are some pictures from it today.

A New Start

Well, I used to enjoy blogging, life used to allow it, every evening I found a few minutes to do it.  When we only had Cash I found the time 3 to 4 times a week to blog about him and us and our life. Then Palin came along, and work and life with two kids and somehow time started going by even faster, until now... hopefully...

Well we have moved, to Stephenville, Texas, with hopes that maybe life will be a little slower and we will have a little more time to enjoy the kids and each other. So with that Cash starts at a new school in the morning and me at a new job with FMC in HR tomorrow. I am plan to blog at least 2 times ( I would like 3 times) to post what we are doing and pics of the kids for our family and friends back in the Houston area to stay up with us. So heres to a new start... for all of us!

Cash starts school

Last week Cash started Kindergarten. He is going to Willis ISD attending Cannan Elementary. He was tested and chosen to be apart of the dual language program. Half of his day is taught in spanish and the other half is taught in English. Its a program to teach them to be able to be fluent in both languages. So far he is really enjoying it. He likes big school as we call it in our house. Since I am working nights I get to take him to school every morning, which makes me really happy.  I believe that we are finally getting a routine down. I drop him off every morning and then take Palin before going home to go to sleep. Baseball started a couple of weeks ago, so we are having practice two days a week and a double header of games every Saturday! Let the fun begin!

Tiff's Wedding

The end of June my cousin Tiffany got married. Cash was chosen to be the ring bearer. He did great! He made it through the whole cermony and was super handsome in his tux. Its hard to believe that he is growing up and will start kindergarten in August.

He lost his tooth 3 days before the wedding!
Sweet and Sassy Palin! She has a mind of her own!!!
My Uncle Tom and Tiffany. I loved this picture and the sign! I think that this was a great idea. Wish I would have done it at my wedding!
Toby, Grandpa and Palin at rehersal dinner, and it was hot!!! June is Oklahoma was over 100 degrees!

The wedding was great and it was awesome to see so many family members that we had not seen in so long!!

Grand Slam

I saw this sign on my cousin's wife's facebook page and thought it was the best little saying since we are playing ball and have been putting a lot of pressure on Cash since we started the CAYB league for baseball. We have learned since we started that this is not for fun, these coaches, umps and parents are there to win, even if they are 5. Losing is not an option. Some of the teams have been mean! I thought this is what I need to remember, instead of being the parent on the sidelines yelling at him to pay attention, and to make sure he has a good hit.......  (you may have to click on the picture to read it but do that before you read the rest of this post)

Until tonight.....I got to be in the stands tonight, for the first time since I did not have anyone to watch Palin. I have not taken any pictures this season, and decided to take my camera tonight. We were halfway through the game and I remembered that I had it, so I got it out to take pictures the next time he was up to bat. This is the only time I got my camera out... what a good choice I made....
Here he is warming up, and getting ready while the other batter was at the plate.
When Cash got up to bat, the bases were loaded, runner at first, runner at second and runner at third. I am yelling from the sidelines, Cash you better knock them home... hit it to the fence. The next thing I know he is swinging.....
and he hits it, harder and farther than he ever has.... runners started coming into home. Cash did it! He hit a GRAND SLAM, and brought all the runners home and himself. Total score of 4 runs for his team! He was so excited and I could not stop screaming!! Talk about a proud mama. All the other parents on our team were screaming to and I think that Cash was in total shock!

At the end of the Game he got to keep the game ball since he had the best play of the game!!
So proud to be the baseball mom!!
