Easter At the Farm

After we got home from church we changed clothes and headed out to the Farm to Easter dinner and play for the afternoon. We had a great lunch that Toby's parents fixed. Ham, potoatoes, mac and Cheese, rolls, cake and pie!

The kids are starting to get a little better with posing for pictures, Its still hit or miss if they will pose for you or not. But at least today on Easter they were.

After lunch the kids got their Easter baskets from Jon and Lois, and what better to have in them than water guns. The spent a little while chasing each other and Oma around the yard with their water guns. Palin likes squirting them, but does not like to get squirted herself!

We had a great time and spent the afternoon, riding the 4wheeler, and play baseball with everyone. It started raining right around supper time, so we were thankful that it held off till we got were ready to leave.

Dressed Up Easter Pictures

We got all dressed up on Easter morning for Church. Palin was excited to curl her hair and get all dressed up in her purple shoes that she picked out the day before and her gloves. Cash was less excited to be in a button down shirt. You would have thought htat it was the end of the world.

She is sassy, and kept telling Toby, "Daddy I look pretty"

She loved giving Toby kisses and kept trying to give Cash kisses, and he wanted nothing of it! I love this picture, she was trying so hard and being so sweet, and Cash kept blocking her.

There were some bluebonnets on the way home from church that we pulled off and took pictures in. The sun was in their eyes but at least we got some.

School Easter Egg Hunt

Wednesday was Cash's Easter Egg hunt at school.  I took a late lunch that day so I could attend. They had a lot of fun and even had sack races at it. They had hopping and skipping races at it too. 

 They had fun trying to find their eggs. All the eggs were numbered and each kid was assigned a number and they could only get the eggs with their numbers on them. It took longer than you think to find all the eggs!

We had not gotten the kids together to take a class picture at a party yet, so we made sure that we snapped on today.

Cash and Papa build a Rocket

 Papa got Cash a rocket in his Easter basket this year. This is not your typical rocket. It actually had to be built and then engines that you ingite had to be bought and place on it for it to take off.  Cash loves to build things so this was right up his alley.

Cash and Papa built it on Saturday and it had to sit overnight and dry. Once we got home we all went to the park to try it out. We all thought that it would not work. Boy were we wrong.... that thing shot up in the sky higher and higher at the fastest pace that you can imagine and then it shot out the parachute and came down. However it came down a long ways from where we shot it. We used a couple of engines for it, and well shoot it again soon when they come back.

Weekend

Grandma got to go to dance class with Palin on Saturday morning.  Palin's rule for dance class is that no boys can go. After dance classs Toby and I headed to the metroplex and mom and dad took the kids to Walmart to see the Easter Bunny. Cash was excited to see the Easter bunny. Palin on the other hand was not so thrilled to be there and refused to get out of the cart.

After seeing the bunny they took the kids to lunch at McDonalds and spent the afternoon at the park. They went to grumps for supper, at Palin's request, and after dinner and baths got to make Easter placemats from kits that we got.

Papa and Cash got to build something too. I will make it its own post.

As usual when Papa and Gradma are around its non stop entertainment for the kids!

Rangers!

We drove to the Metroplex on Saturday afternoon and met Jayson and Erin to go to dinner and to the Rangers game. We went to Chophouse burger, and even got to meet my old Boss Bo and his wife for dinner before heading to the game. We had a really great time with them. Mom and Dad drove up and watched the kids and had tons of fun with the them.

City Park

Last Saturday morning we headed to the City Park for Wildlife expo that Tarleton State was putting on. The kids played at the park and we walked through the booths that they had.

They each got to make bird feeders with pine cones and peanut butter and roll it in bird seed, There was also an archery booth that Cash got to practice shooting a bow. The kids had a great time.
