Friends came to visit!

As I stated earlier we went to Fort Worth to meet some friends that drove up from Conroe to visit us. We met them Saturday afternoon in Fort Worth at the Radission Hotel. We met there and got ready and then headed down to the stockyards for dinner and a night out. We had a blast with them. We always do. We have only known them about a year and a half now but we have became fast friends. They have a boy that is Cash's age that Cash played Tball with in Conroe.
We found out shortly after meeting them that they had lived in Stephenville the first couple of years that they were married and had Ty here in Stephenville, before moving to Conroe. They were even really good friends with some of our friends here. Its crazy how much of a small world it is. We are really glad that we have them as friends! They are a hoot, and Deann and me get along famously! :)  We are so glad that we got to spend sometime with them, kid free!!

Football Camp and the Weekend

Cash had been going to football camp last week and got to play center. He really enjoyed it and on Saturday they had the championship playoffs. They played till they got elminated. Cash's team ended up winning all threes games! Since they won three games we spent the entire morning at the football fields. He had a really great time at it. His team even got a camp shirt that said Camp Champs on it since he won.
He had lots of support at the game. Since my parent were up in town they were there and Tobys dad was there cheering Cash on. Palin was a little less than amused being at the game all morning. She kept saying, I want to go home.... Poor thing, she does not realize she is going to be at lots of games to come.

After the games were over they gave awards out and Pizza to the boys. The camp was at the high school where Toby went to high school, in the same training room that he used. Stephenville has been State Champs numerous years in football. So we took Cash's picture there maybe one day he will be on a State Champ team. Once camp was over, Toby and I headed to Fort Worth for the rest of the weekend and left the kids with my parents. We met some friends from Conroe up there and went to dinner and went out to Billy Bobs' and then spent the night at a hotel and came back Sunday morning.

The kids had a blast with my parents. They always want Papa to read to them, so dad spent much time reading books to them. Palin had mom paint her toes and fingers. I love that Palin is getting to be so girly now. She always wants to wear flip flops too.

I got this picture Saturday night of the kids with my parents, talk about having fun and an imagination. The caption from my mom said that they were mining for gold so Papa and Grandma could have money to move next door!! Mom made Cash a new blanket for the summer for baseballs on it to take to daycare, and matching pillowcases for his bed. He was excited about it.
My parents left after lunch and we made the kids laydown and rest before we had to go to Vacation Bible School at church last night. We have it all week from 6 to 8pm, so they are going to busy!

Rest of last Weekend

The Funkhouser came in Friday night and the kids were super excited to have them at our house. Palin likes helping Erin take care of baby Avery. We went to dinner when they got here and when we got home we let the kids stay up and play. I think that they wore themselves out, you can see them all sitting on the couch before we put them down.

Palin and Avery had fun playing while the boys were camping. They had fun in the bath tub. The next morning they had chocalate donut holes with sprinklers that Mr Jayson had bought them. They thought that they were great. Palin was super excited about them. She even got dressed Sunday morning and had to go back and get some more to eat after she was dressed for the day.

The Funkhousers headed out about Noon and we went home and took a nap. After that Cash had his first cub scout meeting and then we headed to the Weems house for the rest of the day. Cash and Whitney have so much fun together and there is so much to do at the ranch. They got to go and feed the horses and play in the sand box, and run outside and we did not worry about them getting hit by cars because there was no road in site! Whitney and Cash even do a really good job of including Palin in on things when they are playing. Which makes my life much easier! Now that school is our and its light till 9pm, we did not get home till 845pm that night. We are enjoying the summer nights so much already!

The New Rug

Our rent house that we are in has wood floors, which is nice, but I am just a person who likes carpet. So I am sure when we our lease is up and we are house shopping Toby and I are going to differ on carpet versus wood floors. You cant lay on the floor and get cozy. I finally went the other night and bought a rug for the living room. I felt like the kids needed it to play on. Palin was so excited when I brought it home she just rolled around on it. I bought it last Thursday night. On Sunday after the Funkhouser left, we all went home and the kids got thier pillows and layed down to watch TV on it, 10 minutes later this is what we had! Best money ever spent. Toby and I both took an hour nap also. They slept like rocks!

End of Season

This week marks the end of the Spring baseball season. We had a game last night and have our last game tonight. Cash played a good game last night. He was all over the field. He is playing first base, and was determined to have a great game. I tried to get some good action shots last night. He was catching and running everywhere to get the ball. He had some really good hits last night also. Palin was there being her normal DIVA self. She instisted on wearing her hat since Cash was wearing a hat. Nevermind the fact that it did not match. She still loves her flip flops and wears them anytime that she can.

First Camping Trip

This weekend was a much anticipated weekend. Toby and our good friends Jayson had been planning on taking the boys camping for the first time. Jayson and the family drove up to Stephenville on Friday night and the boys headed out camping on Saturday. They got camp setup, cooked hot dogs and made smores by the campfire. They rode around and looked for animals. They had the boys in the tent for bed at 10pm. Around midnight I got a text from Toby saying they were headed home due to weather. Erin and me looked at each other and walked outside, seemed clear to us. They were about 20 minutes away from us and it was pouring rain where they were and storming bad. They loaded up the boys in the truck and left the tent up and headed to town.

The next morning they were up by 630am, and ready to head out the door to go fishing and contuine their trip. Hunter decided to set this part out and stayed at the house with Erin and me. Cash had a good time fishing and being a boy all weekend. More posts to come on the rest of the weekend! We were busy!
