Christmas with The Youngs
We spent Christmas eve and Christmas Day with my parents this year. Cash really got into Christmas this year and had a blast. The pictures are kind of out of order, but here is my Christmas summary.... better late than never!
Cash got new shoes from Santa! He was super excited about them! Christmas eve we baked our own cookies for Santa and my mom had bought, all sorts of icing and sprinkles for Cash to decorate his own cookies for Santa. He even requested that we buy Santa his own little container of milk as Cash did not want to share his!
He had a lot of fun decorating his own cookies for Santa, and sitting them out for Santa to eat when he came that night.

Its beginning to FEEL alot like Christmas!
Well ever since Thanksgiving the last couple of weeks have been a blur. Toby and I have had something everyweekend and have something every day till Christmas. We have tried to do anything and everything Christmas related and go see that we could. I have two Christmas parties that we had to attend for my office and Toby had his. My dad went back to work part time and so my mom has had Cash during our events.
Here is the Gingerbread train that she bought for her and Cash to make! He loved it and its my centerpiece on my kitchen table right now. He loves trains so this was perfect for him. Wednesday Toby and I took off and went with my parents to Palestine, Texas. They bought the 5 of us tickets to ride on the Polar Express.
Here the train is coming into the station to pick us up. The train left at 5pm and drove to the north pole. It was great timing since there was still light when we got on the train but by the time that we arrived at the North Pole it was dark.
Here we are looking out the window once the train was arriving at the North Pole. Once we got there we had to wait for Santa and his elves to get on board. Cash was so excited to get to see Santa's house. Along the train ride they served us hot chocalate and cookies.
The whole train sang Christmas carols, and had a really great time. Cash and all the kiddos wore their pj's on the train just like in the Polar express book. Here is Cash and Toby singing and clapping to festive songs along the way.

Rainy day at the park!
Sunday Toby, had to work and Cash and were bored and tired of being inside, so I decided to take a break and take him and Cole to the park. Even though it was wet they boys has a really good time.
As soon as we got out of the truck they took off to the playground! I love watching them play, they have so much fun together.
Pumpkins Are here!!
TWO NEW POSTS!! FINALLY! SEE BELOW!
I think... well I know that I love this time of year more than any other time. I love all the holidays back to back that I get to decorate and be festive about. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think that this fall is going to be the best yet, since Cash is at the perfect age to be excited about everything. He had a blast buying pumpkins the other day when we went grocery shopping. A few days before we had gone shopping we had gotten all my Halloween decorations out but some of them needed a pumpkin to work.
Cash could hardly wait to get home to get to "play with the pumpkins" I have little wooden pieces that you insert into your pumpkin in order to create a ghost and a spider. Cash wanted to do everything on his own... he wants to do EVERYTHING on his own these days.
Once he had put all the pieces in the pumpkins, we took them outside and put them on the front porch. Anytime someone comes to our house, he has to show them. He also always looks out our window to make sure that they are still there and have not gone anywhere. He says the ghost may fly off.
I love getting to see him get excited about the holidays. Holidays were always a big deal at our house when I was growing up and I hope they contuine to be for him as he grows up. He loved gettting to go to the Halloween store numerous times while I looked for the perfect Halloween costume for me, which I never found. So when all else fails.. have my WONDERFUL mom, make mine for me!! So excited about it! Stay tuned for pictures coming later this month!
