Sunday Egg Hunt

Sunday morning Palin and I were up early and headed back to Stephenville from Jill's house. We got home and Toby and Cash were at church. We headed to the musuem to hide the Easter Eggs for the Church Easter Egg hunt that I was in charge of. We met the boys after church and went and got lunch to take to the hunt.

We tried getting some of the girls together to take a picture. It didn't really work that well.

The older boys were ready to go hunt eggs. Since they were the oldest they had to wait till the end for them to go.

Palin and Chloe have gotten to be sweet little friends. They go to tumbling together and Chloe's dad is going to be Palin's Tball coach this year and I work with her mom too.

The kids got plenty of eggs and were ready to get home and go through them.

After we got home, we hung out for a little bit, but Palin was anxious since it was such a sunny day to go to the park. We went to the park and spent most of the time swinging. She can swing in the big people swings she just has to go slow, so she still likes getting to get in the little kids swings so you can push her fast!

While we were at the park the boys went to the other local park to play disc golf for the afternoon. After that it was home for supper and to bible hour at church that night. After Bible hour we headed to get yogurt and then home for bed. We were all tired!

Frozen

Saturday, Palin and I headed to Dallas to go to Jill's house and then to take the kids to Disney's Frozen on Ice. Palin was excited to go and see Elsa.

Palin in the backseat being her normal sassy self on the way to the American Airlines center. We arrived in plenty of time and got decent parking.

We got in pretty quickly and made our way to our seats. Palin thought it was pretty neat to get to ride the escalators. Once it started she was so excited, because it was not only Frozen, it was all the Disney's princesses. She was screaming with delight to see Cinderella, Snow White, Tangled, etc.

She sang and stood up many times through out the production. She sang her hear out on Elsa's songs.
We went back to Jill's to spend the night when we got back that night. We had a great time up there.

Open House

Cash had open house a couple of weeks ago at school. We got to go up andsee his class and what he does all day. We got to go all around the school and see different rooms that he goes to: Art, Music, PE etc. Outside his actual class room they had self pictures of themselves and also had a poster on what thier names meant to them with each letter. Cash really enjoys school right now.

Meanwhile Palin is just happy being Palin. She has her own fashion sense and on most days chooses what she is going to wear and what she is going to put with it. She is confident no matter what she is wearing. She is her own person and doesnt care what anyone else thinks. She fits her name perfectly.

Aggie Baseball Game

The kids went to Houston for spring break to spend sometime with my parents. We met them on Sunday to get the kids back and took them to a Texas A&M Baseball game. We all had a blast at the game. Palin got a little anxious but once Toby got her some popcorn she was content through the next couple of innings.

The kids were chosen to get to go on the field during the National Anthem and get to stand by a baseball player. Cash and Palin ran to 1st base since thats the position that Cash normally plays they wanted to stand by him.

The kids also got to be on the field to sing the Texas Aggie School fight song with all the other kids. It was a great afternoon and we look foward to going back soon to another game.

Snow and Ice

The couple of weeks we have been having lots of snow and ice days. The kids missed over 5 days of school due to the weather! It was fun that they got to see this and play in it.

Palin wanted to make snow angels and Cash wanted nothing to do with laying in the snow and getting mushy. Palin quickly changed her mind also when she got up and was wet. I taught the kids how to make snow ice cream and and Palin loved it, and Cash hated it. Palin will eat anything and Cash has to process everything.

We made an attempt at building a small snowman one morning. We did not  decorate him but we were able to actually build one. More than we would have gotten to do in Houston. Hoping now that winter is leaving us and the spring weather is on its way!

Basketball

Cash just finished his first season playing basketball and he had a really good time.He played on the Bulls this year.  His team got the chance to go to Regional Playoffs in Denton a couple of weeks ago.
We were not so sure that Cash was going to like basketball with all the running that he was going to have to do, but he loved it. He was tired at the end of every game but he learned a lot. He was a head taller than everyone so that helped that he could block most of the shots from the other team. We have a few weeks off before baseball season starts.

Terrific Kid

It's been a while since I have blogged. But now hopefully I can get caught up and stay that way! Cash recieved the Terrific Kid award in January at his school for his class. They had an awards ceremony one morning in January that we got to go up and attend and watch him get his award.

He was very excited to get his award and glad that we were able to be there to see it. Cash is doing really well at school this year and his favorite subject is Math.
