First day!

School started yesterday and this is Palin's first year going to what we call "Big School" They both had a great day!

Cash was excited and wasted no time getting out of the truck and running into school. He would not let us walk him in this year either. Growing up!!

Palin seems to have a great little class, and wanted to go back for day 2, so we will consider that a success. This year she her teacher is Ms. Rose who lives down the street from us and goes to church with us. So I am hoping that help her to like it.

 

Cash has Ms. Munson this year, which we dont know anything about but he seems to like her.

BBQ Cookoff

Meanwhile on the other side of the park, Toby and his dad were cooking in the BBQ cook off. They spent Friday and Saturday at the park cooking. They entered in Brisket, Ribs and Chicken.

They ended up placing and getting 2nd place in Brisket! Not too bad for their first cook off, and the first time on the new grill that Toby had finished just days before.

Toby built this from nothing .He has always wanted to build one, and he is now finally got to. He built the trailer and the BBQ grill from nothing. He was pretty proud as several people asked him where he bought it at.

Summer!

I can't believe that we are already running through summer and its July. We have finished sports camps for Cash and just finished celebrating the 4th of July.

Shelley and I were part of a small committe that planned the 4th Of July celebrations for our town. We had fun planning and seeing it all play out.  Mom and dad drove up to watch the kids while we were working the event.

 They took Palin to the parade and Cash and I rode on the float in the parade. They weather was great and it was not horribly hot! We lucked out.

 There were lots of things to do in the kids area. Palin was excited to have her face painted. She was patriotic princess!

Everyone was sporting their red white and blue!

Rangers Game

 

The first day that we actually had sunshine was last Saturday, after a month of rain and storms we had sunshine!! We took Cash and Jaxon to the Rangers game. It was the perfect weather and the game was great too. The boys had fun. It was a great day to kick off the first day of summer!

Palin did not want to go sit through the game so she went to Oma's and had a tea party instead. Much more her style than a baseball game!

 

Last day!

Last week we finished up the school year for 2014-2015. Cash completed 2nd grade with great grades and is on to 3rd grade. Palin is going to go to Pre-K next year and is excited for a change. Cash spent the last day at school as Splashville with the entire second grade and had a pizza party. I forgot to print signs for them, but leave it to technology we just used the IPAD instead.

Field Trip

I got the chance a couple of weeks ago to with Cash to Ft Worth for his field trip. We had a really great time at the Ft Worth Science Musuem.

They got to build things, and play on a huge lite bright.

We didnt get to do everything and we are going to take the kids back this summer so we can do everything. It was a lot of fun!

Cash starts Ball

Both kids are now in full swing of playing ball, so our schedule is now if full swing of balancing practices and games every night. Cash is on the tigets this year and is playing first base! This is his favorite position to play.

One of the moms made signs for the boys to have the dugout with their names and numbers on them, so they know what batting order to sit in.

Palin is less than amused that she is having to attend Cash's games, she lasts for about 10 minutes and then is bored with the game.

Cash has done really well this year hitting. He is hitting them almost every time to the fence in the outfield.
