Halloween Morning

I stayed up late last night, setting the table for the kids for breakfast this morning when they woke up. Mom and Dad had sent cards in the mail that arrived so I kept them and set them out for the kids. They were perfect to add to their place settings so that they had them first thing this morning.
We had white donuts and I had some spiders left over from Palin's treat bags that I made so they worked out perfect to put in their donuts. Palin dressed as a pirate this morning for day care. I was worried that she would ruin her Minnie Mouse costume before tonight's contest at the town square.
Cash was supposed to dress up as a story book character, so he is a Knight, minus the pants that he would not wear to school. So we used windpants instead.

They were both excited to get to school. Its amazing that Palin is in Cash's costume from when he was little, and that she looks just like he did in it! I made Palin's treat bags to take to her class while she was sleeping last night, and she was so happy to wake up and get to carry them to the car.
Hoping that they both had fun days at school and are ready for tonight!!!

Fall Festival at Church

Wednesday night was the Fall Festival at the church. We rushed home from work and quickly got the kids changed and ready. They were so excited to go. They kept telling Toby to hurry up and drive, and as soon as we got to the church they could not stand to wait in the car for any point of time.

Cash and Palin both were so excited to be dressed up that they were actually good with taking pictures before we left. Usually it is very hard to get pictures of them. I was glad that they were letting us take them.

The church has all types of things going on. They had face painting, which is where Palin got her face painted at and turnk or treating, along with lots of other indoor games to play.

We got to see lots of Cash's friends while we were there. Jaron, whose Mom is also one of Palin's Sunday school teacher was there, and Maddie a little girl in Cash's class at school.

Both of these boys are names CASH, and they are in the same Sunday school class and same grade at school. Palin enjoyed getting to play the bing bag toss inside. She was little scared of some of the trunk or treaters that were handing out candy.
We had a great night as a family, and are looking foward tonight and going trick or treating!

Football Star in the making

After Cash's football game a couple of Saturdays ago, Palin wanted to play football when we got home. She had fun getting the ball and throwing it and chasing Cash to get the ball back. They tied rope around their waists and were using them as if they were playing flag football.

I can totally see Palin playing football one day and trading in her ballet shoes for cleats!

Pumpkin Time

I spent the weekend in Oklahoma shopping with my mom, and aunt having our annual girls trip. I headed back yesterday morning, and when I got back around 1pm, we spent the rest of the day making our halloween pumpkins.
Cash decided that this year he wanted to paint them and decorate them instead of carving them. He was set that he was going to be making his look like a Texas A&M football player. We washed and dried the pumpkins off before painting them, in hopes that the paint would stick better.
Palin had fun getting to pick out the hair color for her witch and painting her face on the witch.

We have one left to make this week, that I think that we are actually going to carve so we have it lit up on Halloween.

Wreath Class 101

Last night I had the chance to take a wreath making class with two of the girls I have gotten to know pretty well since we moved here. Mandy and Jessica. Mandy is Whitney's mom and Jessica is Cash and Chaney's mom. Her Cash and my Cash are the same age and Chaney and Palin are a couple months a part. We had dinner and got to make the wreaths. We had a really good time and got to go home with a finished wreath. I can't wait to start making more of them. It was really a great time.  I have lots of posts to write with the kids and I will play catch up soon, but have been busy the last couple of days.

Weekend

The kids and I stayed very busy this weekend. Cash had a football game on Saturday and we spent the rest of the weekend playing and making crafts. Most of Sunday afternoon before we went to the Pumpkin patch the kids played really great together. They dressed as superheros. Palin makes a great Batman!

Palin even convinvced Cash to play with her babies. She had him bring all her doll beds and strollers out to the living room so they could play.
Cash had an idea to get styrofoam cirlces and paint them like pumpkins, so we did that on Saturday afternoon. They both did quite well and there was not paint everywhere... I was impressed.
We made painting with there little feet. They were both very unsure about painting their feet black, but I think that it turned out really cute. I also just noticed that Palin was not in clothes in any picture, not really sure why she was not.. I promise she does wear clothes.

Pumpkin Patch

Sunday afternoon our bible study class went to one of the local pumpkin patches. This was a different one than the one that we went to last weekend. It was supposed to rain all day and it did not! It was perfect. A little cloudy but it was great.
They had so many photo op places set up to take pictures on, and the kids were decked out in their fall pumpkin shirts. I even made Cash's the night before at the last minute because the one that I ordered had not come in.
They had tons of things to do, they had a hay bale maze that Cash spent a full hour running around in with a few other boys in our class. I think total that we have around 13 kids from Cashs age to 6 months old, so it is always a little crazy when we all get together, which is every Sunday after church. This group of folks have been amazing, for us to get to know and start hanging out with the last couple of months.
One of them is the local denist and the other the local pediatrician for the kids. So we are always around great people and we are excited that the kids a great group of little people to be with.

There had corn boxes instead of sand boxes for the kids to play with. And horses for them to ride around barrells. It was enough to keep them enterained for the day!

I actually got a couple of cute pics of the kids!! Thank goodness they are both very difficult to take pictures of these days.

Spirit Day!

It's Football season.. and that means that every Friday at school is spirit day! The kids are supposed to wear their yellowjacket gear to school. Tonight is extra special because we are going to try and make it to the game, this will be our first high school game to go to since we moved back, but they are on a winning streak so we will hope that they win!
I tried getting picture of the kids on our way out the door this morning, but as you can see my childern are not morning people, and Palin was not going to smile for me no matter what! She's a little sassy and does things on her terms not mine!

Happy Birthday Grandpa

We celebrated Toby's dad birthday last night. We all went to dinner and then back to the house to have cake.
Palin and I found candles that made the flame colored the same as the candle. You can not tell that great in the picture, but they were pretty cool.
After they left we got the kids ready for bed and Palin gave everyone their night time kisses before bed.

Pinterest Cupcakes

Saturday night we made cupcakes. I had seen some on pinterest that I wanted to try. They were supposed to look like Candy Corn. They were supposed to have orange at the bottom and yellow and then white icing. As usual they did not turn out like the picture. The kids did however have fun making them to take to our bible study class on Sunday after church. Now that we are going to that, I am having to cook something each week. I am kinda excited about it, its giving me a chance to try some new things out.
