End of Year Party

Cash had an end of year school party today at lunch time. All the kindergarten classes were having them. His class was the only one that had it outside. They had pizza nad cupcakes, and then thier room mom had bought them all silly string to spray each other with! It was a mess but the kids had a really good time. We had to take the end of year class picture and then take one of them being silly :)

While we were out there one of our friends Mandy and her daughter Whitney drove by. Whitney had just finished her party and they were driving by and saw us outside and they parked and came over so we could get a picture of Cash and Whitney in thier shirts that I found and bought them. Aren't they cute? They are in the same Sunday School class and sit by each other every Sunday at church. Cash was supposed to go to the flower shop this afternoon, but Whiteny invited him over to play for the afternoon! So he decided that sounded like a great way to end the school year.  They are now both official 1st graders!
Hello Summer Fun!!! Here we come!

Last Day of Kindergarten

This morning was Cash's last day of Kindergarten. I had gotten up early and decorated the yard. I put each of his accomplishments of the year on a stick in the yard, so he could reflect on the year that he had before starting 1st Grade. It ended with a banner to run through into the house. Since I had woke him up early, he was not in the mood to run through the sign. LOL! Toby kept his eyes covered until we have him standing at the end of the driveway and he could see it all.
Listed on the signs were:
Basketball Shootout Champion
Cup Stacking Champion
Learned to Read
Met New Friends
Move to Stephenville
Promoted to 1st grade!

Then we went inside and woke Palin up and got everyone up and ready for thier last day before summer vacation starts. Cash was excited to wear his Kindergarten Graduate shirt to school today. I have to take the picture with the sign that said Last Day! Its been a whirlwind year with the move and everything!
Here he is at the first day of Kindergarten in Conroe and the last day here in Stephenville! His class party is at noon today and then he officially gets out for summer vacation.

Cash and Palin go to the Zoo

A couple of months ago before we moved my parents took the kids to the zoo for the day. They had a lot of fun. I just now got some pictures from that day that my dad sent me, so I thought that I would include them. Cash appears to be having fun with birds and they are all getting away from him as fast as possible. Going to zoo is somethng that has to be done between October and April, or its just too hot and all the animals are hidden and not out moving.

Kindergarten Awards Ceremony

Cash's Kindergarten awards ceremony was this morning. It was at the Bond Auditorium. It used to be a church that they have converted for the school district to use for various reasons.  Cash got the award for the newcomer and transition award. I think that it is the perfect award for Cash. In the 8 weeks that he has been here at school in Stephenville, he has adapted great. He has done very well in school and says he loves this school better than the one in Willis. Its hard to believe that he will now be a first grader after Friday. I could not get my stupid camera to take a picture till after he was walking off from getting his award. But I got some of him and his teacher Mrs.McLeroy, after the ceremony was over. They are having a silent auction on pots of flowers that each class planted. Cash's class has a sticker figure of each kid and thier name on it. Cash wants to make sure that I win it. The bidding goes on till 3pm today. He told me to make sure I brought my checkbook today.

Memorial Day Weekend

We headed to Houston Friday night for the Memorial day weekend. It was a perfect weekend and we did nothing but hang out! It was great. Saturday we up and in the pool by 1000am. We swam and cooked out hamburgers for lunch. That afternoon Toby and I went shopping and then out to dinner with friends. It was nice to get away and let my parents watch the kids for the day. I needed a break from the munchkins! LOL! Cash stayed in the pool over 6 hours on Saturday! He is going to be a fish.
Sunday we up and Cash and I were off to splashtown that morning by 9am. We met some of our good friends Deann and Ty. Cash rode a lot of the rides this year and some of them were really tall! Meanwhile Palin stayed at home with my parents and had watergun fights. My dad had bought some battery powered guns before we arrived. They were a hit with everyone.

Sunday afternoon after we got back from Splashtown Cash went back to the pool and Julie and Blake came over to join us! Palin and Blake are 6 months apart. Once Blake arrived Palin wanted in the pool and wanted to play with Blake. She had a really good time with him.

Cash was all over the pool this weekend, swimming, climbing, jumping doing everything!
Palin has gotten into loving eating grapes she wants them all the time. Sunday night we made homemade chicken fried steak just like my grandma Young used to make. Cash loved gettting to help make them. Yesterday morning Palin was up and watching them make pancakes she loved being involved in everything that she can. We headed out after breakfast and off to Jayson and Erins house for lunch and visiting the rest of the afternoon before the drive home. We had a great visit and enjoyed getting to hangout. We even got another date night on Sunday and Toby and I got to go and see a movie. It was nice to have two nights to go out without the kids and get a break! Thanks for keeping the kids mom and dad!

This and that

Palin has learned to be a good sport about attending Cash's baseball practices and games. But lately I cant keep her out of the dugout. She wants to be in there with the boys and as soon as Cash takes his helmet off to go out to play first she has to wear it. She wants to be into whatever he is doing. It drives him crazy!  We had team pictures the other day and I snapped one with my phone to have. We went to dinner I mentioned with some friends the other day. We went to a local place in town called Grumps. It reminds me a lot of Willies back home.

Cash happened to fall asleep the other day at 645pm on the couch and that was Palin's chance to play and do what she wanted with out him! She brought all her baby stuff out of her room on her own. This is what I walked into. She was sitting in her chair with both her babies feeding them. She played really well all alone till around 9pm when we lost electricty and I finally put her to bed.

Colt came to visit

My only nephew came to Stephenville last month for a week to stay with Toby's parents. The kids got to spend some time with Cousin Colt. They had lots of fun playing together and we enjoyed getting to spen some time with him. Colt is three and falls in age between Cash and Palin. They all 3 had a good time playing together. I wish that he lived closer so that the kids got to play together more. Afterall its thier only cousin! Colt is so full of life and a pretty happy kid. When he arrived at our house and Lois opened the door to the car he said HI UNCLE TOBY, in the most excited voice ever!

Cash gets a letter from Santa

One of the first things that Cash does when we get home is run and check the mail. In Conroe, we did not have mail box that Cash could check, we had community boxes that had to have a key. So he thinks having a mail box in our driveway is the coolest thing ever!  The other day to his surprise he had a letter in the mail. Even better than that he had a letter from SANTA CLAUS.

He was very excited to have mail and then once he opened the letter and realized that there was many words that he could not ready he quickly asked his daddy to read him the letter. The letter came on really old paper and smelled of cinmammon.
As Toby read the letter Cash grew with excitement of how Santa knew that he had moved and who his teacher was. Santa knew everything about Cash and what was going in his life. He knew Cash's friends name and that we had just gotten settled in a new town and that he was playing baseball and getting to play first base again.

This is one proud boy about getting a letter from Santa! His letter even came with a an official seal of the North Pole from Santa Claus!

Palin's Moving out

Toby had left the other day to go get a haircut and Cash had fallen asleep in his room, and Palin was playing perfectly in her room. The next thing I know she comes through the living room with her shopping cart packed with all her kitchen supplies and her backpack on and says, bye bye mommmy. I moving out and heads for the door. I grab my camera and follow her. She is the funniest thing that I have ever been around. She is going to be a pill when she gets older. We were eating the other day at a resturant and were walking to our table, I turn around and she has taken her shirt off and is walking around with just her shorts. She is a handful!!!!
