Our House!

Today we close on our house, it makes me a little sad. We moved in 2007, it was brand new and Cash was just 4 months old. He grew up in the house, and then in 2010 Palin came along. We have a lot of memories in the house with the kids and just starting our life together. But I know that we will make just as many memories in the next one.
We are very lucky that the first people that looked at the house made an offer which was our asking price, before we even listed it with a realtor. We are thankful for that, and getting it sold quick instead of trying for months to sell it.
We took some pictures the other day when we were there getting our last things, so that we could remember it, and so that the kids would have pictures to look at later. We did get some with all of us in them with the timer on the camera, I just dont have that camera with me to post them right now.
The barn was Tobys pride and joy! I know that he is going to miss it, because we now have ALOT of stuff in storage now that we used to have in the barn.
But we are on to better things now. We are finally feeling settled in our new town.  We are both home by 545 each night, and able to eat dinner as a family and we have been going on walks with the dog and the kids. We are making it to church every Sunday, and its nice to not be running around like a chicken with our heads chopped off or trying to figure out who is going to pick up the kids. I used to feel like I was always late, now I am the first one at work in the mornings, its nice not to be rushed anymore, and I think the kids are enjoying it too.  We have our first baseball game tonight for Cash. He is getting to play 1st base, so more to come on that....

Fishing

My one and only nephew is in town this week. He is staying with Tobys parents for the week. We went out to the farm last night, so the kids could play with him and cookout. Toby took them all down to the tank (pond) to go fishing. It was chilly and the wind was blowing. We did not think that we were going to catch anything. Within 5 minutes both boys caught fish, at the excat same time! Palin just watched them. She thought that the worms were snakes, and kept talking about the snakes in the bowl.

Love them!

Last Sunday we had famliy pictures taken. I finally got some good ones. Palin I think has finally passed her phase where she went running from the camera screaming. From when she turned 1 to now, I have limited pictures of her because she ran the other way when I would take her picture. Here is the one of the two of them that they took.
They are both growing up so much. Cash is about to finish up his year in Kindergarten, and we started potty training Palin yesterday. No accidents at school, just when she got home! Hopefully this will only take a day or two for her to catch on. I talked to Julie today and she is trying to break Blake of his pacifier, and its going a little rough, we laughed that these kids are going to be the death of us! But then you look at a sweet picture of them like the one above and you can't believe that they are growing up so fast, you just want to stop it and keep them small a little while longer.

A Night with the Weem's

Saturday afternoon and evening we got a chance to hang out with some of our friends. We went hung out with the Weem's. It was Mandy's birthday so Whit cooked outand we had cake and ice cream to celebrate her big 30! Toby and Whit have been friends for years ever since they were little bitty. Whit was a groomsmen in our wedding and sang during the wedding.
Cash and Palin had a blast getting to play out side at the ranch. They went and fed the horses and got to ride around the property on the mule.
We had yummy hamburgers that Whit cooked out. It was really windy so we ate inside so our plates would not blow away.
Cash and Whitney have became fast friends. They are both in Kindergarten and in the same Sunday school class. They get along great, its like they have grown up together... they dont argue or fight... its pretty amazing!
The three of them (Palin included) spent a good hour playing in the sand box, till the wind started blowing the sand everywhere.
We look foward to many more Saturday nights hanging out with the Weem's!

Field Day

Today Cash had field day at school. It was from 9am to 11am. My new boss is awesome and made sure that I was there to be able to watch. They did an assortment of activities from long jump, to hurdles, to running dashes to carrying water in buckets on their head. Cash had a blast, and I got a lot of fun pictures of him in the events. The weather was great. It was sunny but not too hot yet. I am so thankful for my new job that made me able to go and particpate in it with him. We have only been here a month but it was so nice to see Cash playing with his friends already and having fun! He really has adapted well and has jumped into making new friends, at school, at church and at baseball. We are starting to get in a routine, and get busy. Baseball practice started last week and games start this week.

Weekend Time

This past weekend was really our first weekend here that we did not have plans, or at least I did not have plans. Toby had a shooting event that he went to on Saturday, so I loaded up the kids and we went to Dublin to the flower shop to visit Oma (Toby's mom) and then we went to the park. The kids had fun and we played out side. It was windy but pretty outside. Cash spent a lot of the time at the park on a tire swing going round and round in circles, he eventually got off and ended up throwing up since he was so dizzy. We went home after that and took a nap and then just had a low key weekend the rest of the time.

This is how Cash got our trashcan back up the driveway. He hooked his fourwheeler to the trash can and brought it back up to the house. Notice in the picture that he is still pulling his little trailer behind the fourwheeler.

My Hubby

It's Friday! I got to the office and around 8:05am this morning, the receptionist called me and said flowers has just been delivered up front for me. I walked up there, and to my surprise this was what was waiting for me.. He is such a dear :) They smell incredible... I love them. It was a pleasant surprise. Toby doesnt usually do flowers, he always says no one can do them as good as his mom, but now that we are in Stephenville and my mom in law owns the flower shop.. he has no excuses!!

Easter Weekend

We were up at 445am on Friday and on the road by 6am to head to my parents for Easter. It was a great visit and the kids had a blast. We met my parents in the Woodlands around 1030am on Friday morning. They took the kids for the day to lunch at McDonalds of course and then it was off to Old McDonald's farm for the day. Mom said Palin loved the animals and had a blast feeding everything. They got to play on the playground and go down all the slides. Mom's sunglasses even got broke on the slide. I ran some errands and met Julie for lunch, while Toby worked on packing the last few things left at the house. That night when we returned to my parents we colored Easter Eggs. Palin enjoyed getting to paint them with paint and paintbrush and was not so interested in coloring them.

We spent Saturday morning around my parents house before heading to Conroe. Toby and Cash spent the afternoon playing golf with Jayson. Erin and I went shopping. That night we went to dinner at Wings N More with the Funkhouser's and then headed to my parents. Palin got to hang out with my parents on Saturday and they took her to the park for most of the afternoon.

They kids were up early on Sunday. They were anixous to find eggs and see what the bunny had brought them. We made sugar cookies that morning and let the kids decorate them. It was a mess but fun. We had Easter dinner and then loaded up and headed back to Stephenville. We got home around 9pm, and were tired. Finally got the kids down around 10:15pm. What a weekend!

The kids were up looking for eggs before the Sun was even up on Sunday morning. The silly Easer bunny had the eggs hidden all over the place, inside and outside.
This picture has grown over the years. First it started with Toby and Jayson, and then we took it a few years later with Cash in it, the night that Hunter was born before we went to the hospital with Jayson and Erin. This night we were able to take the picture with all four guys. They are in age order. It has always been one of Erin and mines favorite pics of the boys. We took this at Wings N More on Saturday night.

Cash colored the Easter Bunny a picture to leave out with his basket. He was very proud of his artwork and left it in his basket with his eggs that he colored for the bunny to hide.
