Christmas Eve

Toby's family arrived Christmas eve around 2pm, and we played outsides for the afternoon. Cash had fun with Uncle Jonathan playing with his trucks.
Before Cash went to bed that night, we let him pick out his cookies for Santa. I did not know if this would work or not this year. I thought that he may be too young, but he did great. He picked out the cookies and put them on his Santa plates, that I painted for him at the Mud Pie company.
He walked them over to the chair that I set out for him to leave them on. Toby got a glass of milke to set out and Cash got mad because he wanted it in his cup, I foudn out that was because cash thought that the cookies were for him and he started eating them. So we ended up leaving some half eaten cookies for Santa that night.

Getting Ready For Christmas Day

Christmas Eve morning, my parents came up to help me finish last minute preparations before Toby's family arrived that afternoon. Cash spent the whole time helping me cook, and was helpiong make bows for our ornaments for last minute decorations. He is becoming such a good little helper.

4 Wheels and a little boy!!!

Sunday night we celebrated Christmas with my parents! We headed over to their house that afternoon to exchange presents and have dinner. Cash liked helping Grandma open presents.
Cash really liked looking at my mom's trees and all the ornaments and asking, "WHATS THAT?" about everything on the tree. Cash's hair was a little crazy as he had been wearing a hat all day.
Cash got to open the biggest present last! He got a battery powered 4 wheeler! He was so excited! i have never seen some of the facial expressions that he made! The best word was excited!!! He wanted to ride it as soon as he got the paper off!
There was not time to think, he was on it and was off!!! He does not know how to turn it quite yet, and would take off across the yard, golf course, street or where ever, that led to the rest of us chasing him so that we could turn the handle bars for him! He thought that it was funny that we were chasing him and he would just chuckle as we went!!
As you can see he it started getting dark and he did not want to get off! Finally he did but he wanted to make sure that Toby loaded it in the truck and that it was going to go home with us! he was not taking a chance leaving it!!
Toby and I also go a new riding machine!! We got a lawnmower!! We were really excited as many people would think that it was not fun, but we have been push mowing our yard for the last 2 years and 2 acres and a push mower is not fun!!!
THANKS MOM AND DAD FOR ALL THE GREAT GIFTS!!

Christmas with the Aunt Erin and Uncle Jayson!

Last night we went to the Funkhousers and celebrated Christmas with them. Cash had a lot of fun, he enjoyed handing out presents. But he is getting greedy, he kept wanting to take the presents from under the tree and open them even if it was not his!
Uncle Jayson and Cash are opening his bubble lawnmower. He loved it, he spent the rest of the evening pushing it around the house. I was getting ready this morning and I heard something, and I walked into the living room and Cash was pushing his lawnmower! Great present Funkhousers he loves it!!
This just melts my heart. This is what is hanging in the Funkhousers house! last year Erin ordered Cash a stocking so he would grow up with one at their houses. They truly have adopted Cash as their own nephew! They have been apart of his life since the moment we found out that we were pregnant! It means so much to me and Toby that they are so involved in his life, and that now Cash will have a friend once Hunter arrives in a matter of weeks!!! Cash will have a cousin, since he will never have any blood ones, unless we talk Jonathan (Tobys brother ) into having them!

Cash and the Funkhousers!!

Erin and baby hunter!! 30 WEEKS and growing!!!

Splish Splash..

Need I say more???

Lincoln Logs

Cash has been recieving all kinds of presents this past week in the mail, my grandma/Cash's great grandma sent him some Lincoln logs in the mail for Christmas. He loved them. He made Toby open them right away and start building with them. He even made me take them with us to daycare the next day! It was nuts! But I would not let him take them inside the next morning at daycare and he was grumpy, with me!!! He cried and cried when I left him. Cash has loved getting to open presents this year! He likes to tear the paper open! I can not wait till Christmas morning. We had Christmas with my parents last night, and will post those pictures in the next day or so.

Cash and Santa

We have tried 3 times this year to take Cash to see Santa and get his picture with him, and it has not worked out. He does not like Santa in person. He likes him, on TV and in the stuffed animal form but not the live thing!! Here is was in our yard with his hammer hitting Santa! Let me tell you he is ALL BOY!!!
Once he was done hitting Santa, I made him hug him and kiss Santa and tell him that he was sorry. As you can see it worked and he gave Santa a big kiss!!
Here Cash is with Santa, after they made up! They look like the best of Friends! If I could just get him to be that friendly with the real one at the Mall when we went. I guess I will take what I can get!!! Maybe next year we will have better luck!!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's 49th Birthday! I am sure that she loves me telling the world that next year she will be 50!!! Ha! I stayed up late Saturday night to make her cake for her! If you know my mom you know she loves martini's and the glasses that go with them. She collects them, so Toby came up with the idea that we should make her cake a martini glass! It turned out pretty cute. We went over there last night and celebrated her birthday, since today I had to work and so did she!

Merry Christmas

Hope that everyone is enjoying the holiday season! The Henson's have been busy, since Thanksgiving we have had something every weekend, Christmas parties, and holiday shopping. I can not believe that Christmas is just 3 days away!!! We are having Christmas at our house this year, so I still have a ton of cooking and preparing to do! Hope that everyone else is getting ready for the holidays this year!!!

Thanksgiving weekend

Our Thanksgiving weekend started early, we headed over to my parents on Wednesday night and they met us in Humble and took Cash home, Toby and I did some shopping and then headed to the movies to see 4 Christmas's. It was really funny, and this was the first time Toby and I had been to the movies in a long time. Thursday morning we woke up at my parents and watched the parade on TV while my mom cooked Thanksgiving dinner. We fried a turkey at our neighbors house, and the guys brought it home.

Here we are at the table eating thanksgiving dinner.
We spent the afternoon at my parents and they took Cash to the park to play, while Toby and I took a nap. Thursday night Dana, and I headed to the outlet mall to go shopping, they opened at 11pm and we went shopping until 300am! It was a blast, we got some really great deals.
Friday morning we headed to Toby parents and took the Landcruiser and 4 wheeler with us so that we could play out at the his parents place. Cash and Uncle Jonathan had a blast riding on the 4 wheeler.

Cash and I got to spend a lot of time driving in the Landcruiser all over the property. He never wanted to get out of it. The boys also set up deer feeder while we were there and went hunting.

You can tell how happy he was to be outside playing!
