OKLAHOMA... OK!!!

This past weekend, Toby, Cash and I loaded up and headed to Oklahoma to visit my grandparents, aunts and uncles. They had not seen Cash since Christmas, so you know that he had grown and changed so much. We left early Friday morning and headed to Edmond, where my mom's parents live. When we arrived we headed to the Oklahoma City Zoo. Let me say it was HOT and there were only about 5 other people at the zoo that day, which was nice, but since it was so hot most of the animals were hiding.
This is me, Cash and my grandma (my mom's mom)
Cash and his great grandparents at the zoo! The wind was blowing Grandma's hair!

My grandpa is a MAJOR OU fan. The man lives and dies OU! Well since my husband is a die hard aggies, it always makes for fun times when you put my grandpa and Toby together. Cash of course showed up earing his Texas A&M hat. Here Cash is trying to get away from a SOONER FAN!! Cash says, " EWWW!! Sooners!"

The next morning we got up and drove about another hour to my dad's parents house to visit with my other set of grandparents. They had toys for Cash upon his arrival. Here Cash is with his great grandpa, trying to fix his gun that shoots arrows that they had bought him.
My grandma has recently had knee surgery and is using a cane to get around right now. Cash tried stealing her cane and Grandma had to fight to get it back from him. Cash was pulling it with all his strength. Saturday afternoon we then headed to my Aunt Nellie's house. They had Cash's birthday present waiting on him when we arrived. He got a big dump truck to play with OUTSIDE!! He also got some fun other little trucks that are just his size. Thanks Aunt Nellie!

Here is Cash and great Aunt Nellie! Cash was more interested in the dogs next door in this picture than looking at the camera. Saturday night we went to my Aunt Debbie's and spent the night with her. I just realized that I did not take any pictures while we were there. Cash was so tired by the time that we got to her house that Toby put him to sleep and he slept through the night! Thanks for letting us stay with you Aunt Debbie and Uncle Larry! We enjoyed it! Sunday morning we loaded up and drove 8 hours home! What a long weekend, but it was fun to see everybody!

My new best friend!

This past week was a long week, I went to Chicago for 3 days for work and then I had to work on Saturday. Toby's mom came into town this weekend, to watch Cash since Toby and I had to work. On Sunday I made a new purchase that changed my life!! I got a new jogging stroller! I had other strollers, but not a jogger one. Since we have been walking/running everynight with Cash, I decided it was time and what a difference that it makes... its like pushing nothing. I would say this is a must have for moms with little ones.

Cake, Tommy Bahama's, Swimming and more..

Saturday morning started early for Cash and me, we woke up about 630am, and started making my dad a 50th birthday cake. I decided that I would try and be creative and make it in the number 50, since this was a big birthday and all. Once the cake was made we had to cut the numbers out of the cake and let them cool. Once they were cool, we iced them and packed Cash's bags, he was going to spend the night with my parents on Saturday night. We had to do a little shopping before we got the my parents house to celebrate dad's 50th. We had to go and buy his present at Tommy Bahama's in the Woodlands. I figured since we were going, that Cash needed to wear his Tommy Bahama shirt that day.

Here is Cash walking out of the store with Papa's birthday presents. We bought him two shirts for his birthday.
Here Cash is walking out of the store excited hoping that Papa will like his presents. Isn't Cash precious? He is at such a fun, independent stage right now, I am loving every minute of it. He wants to do everything hiself and wants no help doing it.

Once we finally arrived at my parents we opened presents and had some yummy cake. Cash was not interested in having his picture taken, he would rather feed Papa the icing off of the cake. As soon as we sat Cash on Papa's lap he stuck his finger in the cake!

Here dad is trying to swallow the icing that Cash just fed him. Its impossible to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time, i am learning! We had a great time, we spent a little time in the pool and then I left and came home and Cash stayed all night! Hope that you had a great day!!!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today was my dad's 50th birthday! I was not able to see him today but I did send a bunch of balloons as you can see in the picture! Cash and I will be going to see him tomorrow and celebrate, but I wanted to include this post on his actual birthday. I will post more pics tomorrow when we are there.

A night with the Schultz's and their toys!

Tonight we went over to the Schultz's and cooked out. Cash really likes to go over there and play with their little boy Cole. They have sooo much fun together. Tonight Cash got to play with some of thier toys that he does not have, you see I thought that the kid had every toy that he could ever ask for, well I was wrong. I now know what I am getting him for his birthday! Tonight was the FIRST night Cash has ever been on a bike. Look at him, when he got on he was closing his eyes thinking can I do this? I think I can!!!
He went over and got on the bike all by hiself and wanted to ride on it.
Here he is trying to figure out what to do with his feet to try adn get it to go... He was very concerned about where to put his feet and what to do.
Here he had it figured out but was unable to smile for the camera, as a little boy's first bike rides requires lots of concentration and no smiles for the camera, this was serious business! Needless to say I know that this little bike is what Toby and I will be buying him for his birthday!

Well, as exciting as the bike was, he then found the 4 Wheeler! A couple of months ago at their house he wanted NOTHING to do with it. Tonight, one his own he went over and wanted me to let him ride on it. Here he is showing GRANDMA AND PAPA what he would like for his birthday!
The 4Wheeler was battery powered but the battery was dead, so what is a little boy to do?? Of course you have to call in your friends to help you! Here Cole came to help Cash out and push him around the driveway. After a while Cash decided that Cole needed to have some fun too.
Here the two are riding the 4 wheeler. Not pictured is older brother of Cole, Kagen who was the one pushing them on it. Needless to say Cash had a blast! So if Grandma or Grandpa are reading this, Cash says this is his number vote for his Bday party!
Its 1130pm right now and we just got home and Toby is trying to put Cash down. He is going to be one sleepy little guy after all his playing!

Fun Times

This weekend was probaley the first weekend in a long time that we did nothing productive and just hung out with friends. Friday night, I had a management dinner at Flemings Steakhouse in the Woodlands. After the dinner some of us went to Cheesecake factory and hung out fora while. We did not get home till 1230am! Saturday morning I was up and went running with a friend at 630am!! WOW that was early!! Then I was off to go back to the Woodlands where I met one of my good friends Taylore for lunch at Tommy Bahamas and then we went shopping. That afternoon when I got home and met my parents to get Cash we went over to some friends house to let Cash go swimming with their kids, and cooked out with them.
Here is Cash playing with them in their pool.

Cash and Cole!

Cash and Cole
Sunday morning we got up and went to town to get Cash donuts for breakfast. We went to lunch in the woodlands, with the Funkhousers and then met them and some other friends at the mall to go shopping for the day! It was a lot of fun. After the mall all the women went home with the kids and the guys went to Carters country and to Gander mountain for some shopping. When they got home they loaded me and Cash up and we headed with everyone over to the Funkhouser's for dinner, it was a fun weekend of just hanging out with friends.
