Cash and his hat!

Since Cash was born I have tried and tried and tried to get him to wear a baseball cap. His daddy will not go ANYWHERE with out one on his head. But Cash refused to wear one and would take them off no sooner than I would put them on his head. We were at Academy on Saturday and he found this visor ( I am not crazy about and I think it is ugly) but he liked it and wanted it on his head. Well, today he decided that he wanted to wear it everywhere. He wore it and never took it off! I was so happy! So I am off to buy a cute baseball cap for him tomorrow at my lunch break.

This is his favorite confused look that he always has on his face!

Here he is blowing kisses at the camera!! Isn't he cute!! I just love him!

He liked the hat so much we had to wear it in the bathtub and he threw a fit when I took it off to wash his hair. That's why he looks so mad, I had just finshed washing his hair and he had just gotten done screaming at me in the process. He left it on even after I had him in his pj's, luckily he went to sleep without it. This makes me wonder what else he will want to wear as he gets older that I do not approve of! I think that I am going to have my hands full!!!

Swimming

This weekend was one word... HOT! I had bought Cash a blow up pool, but it turned out to be diaster and not worth anything. So on Toby's way home from work on Friday he bought Cash the old fashion plastic pool that you can get anywhere for about $8.00, but Cash like it a lot better, and so did mom. It is going to be a lot easier to keep clean. Here is a picture of Cash with his blow up fishing pole and fish this afternoon in his pool.

My parents were out of town this weekend, so we decided to take advantage of thier pool, seeing that Toby and I did not fit in Cash's plastic pool. Cash was scared of the water at first but after a few minutes in the water he started to have a blast, he was splashing in the waterfall in the pool and jumping around. He was quite grumpy when I finally made him get out once he had decided that he liked swimming.
Excuse the swimmers he is wearing, I did not feel like putting a swimsuit on over them.

Cash and daddy playing in the pool!!

Greatest Dad Ever!

McKesson
Mindy's Office (where I spend too much time)
For those that know much about us, Toby and I both work a lot of hours. My schedule is kinda crazy and I work early some mornings and late some nights, since my office is almost 24/7. Tonight Toby had to pick Cash up from daycare and I did not leave work till around 8pm. When I got home Toby had dinner waiting on the table. How Sweet!! But at 805pm when I walked in the door, he had played outside with Cash, fed him supper, gave him a HAIRCUT... yes, my friends I said a haircut.... let me say that Toby has never given hiself or anyone I know a haircut.. but he decided out of the blue to give Cash one, and then he bathed him, gave him a glass of milk, read him a book and put him to sleep and then fixed dinner all before I got home! WOW! I was impressed! Cash was sleeping when I got home so I have only gotten to peak at his haircut, but its pretty short and looks cute from whatI can tell. Once again Cash has the greatest dad ever! I am still not quite sure what inspired the haircut, I was planning on taking him on Friday for one, but now I do not have to. Thanks Toby, your the best husband ever!!! Thanks for being supportive with my crazy hours! I will post a picture tomorrow when he is awake.

Mother's Day at the Zoo.

Today was my 2nd Mother's Day, and we decided that it would be a great time to take Cash to the Zoo for the first time. It was the perfect weather this morning when we got up and headed to Houston to go to the zoo. Cash had a blast. There was a petting zoo for the kids where they could go in and pet the animals, and brush their hair. The animals did not move, Cash was able to touch them and get really close to them.
The monkeys were our favorite! Cash liked getting to look at them. Here was a big poster of them when we were leaving the cages where they were kept and he ran up to the sign, to point to the them and tell them in his own CASH LANGUAGE that he speaks now all about them.

This guy was tired of having his picture taken as you can see. He seemed a lot like I do on Monday mornings. Ha! Ha!!

We could not leave the Zoo with out having some ice cream, Toby found the ice cream stand and was so excited to get some for Cash because he knows how much Cash loves to eat ice cream. After we finished at the Zoo we went to my parents to have lunch and then the 3 of us came home and enjoyed the rest of the day as a family. Then my boys ( Cash and Toby) took me to dinner to end the day.
Here was a family picture of us at the Zoo that I took myself, that's why it's not the great, but it is still a picture to remember the day!
Happy Mother's Day to everyone!!!

Vegas Baby!

Sorry, I have not posted lately. The last few weeks have been crazy around our household. Toby and I went to Vegas for 4 days and met some of our friends for college for a weekend get away. We had a lot of fun, we even got to go to hoover dam and tour it. It was about 30 minutes from Vegas. When we got back from Vegas I left on a plane 12 hours later to go to Oklahoma for a meeting for work for 2 days. Then I got home and had not hardly slept in a week and spent the next few days sick! I am finally getting back into the swing of things.
